Good location. Room is clean The hotel is a bit old. In experience staff The quality of the room is reasonable for the money. The hotel is very near to the main train station. I had difficulties in confirming the Agoda's booking with the hotel staff. They are quite inexperience and did not actively try to solve the problem. I had to contact Agoda several times to get it sorted.

very good restuarant reasonable prices, good foreign exchange rates, good location right near subway and opposite bejing railn station expensive internet, television not enough english stayed 3 times enjoyed every time. close to silk market pearl market forbidden city comfortable rooms
right next to bejing subway station and fares are 2rmb to everywhere. other side of road to bejing train station. very convenient. lots of eating around the area. plust the hotel restuarant has great food reasonably priced.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : you can buy a subway card for 20 rmb and load it up with say 30 rmb that way you dont have to buy tickets each time. when you have fiinished you can get a refund of the 20 rmb

Service, location, cleanliness. Service (booking taxi, enquiries, checking in - all hassle-free), Staff could speak conversational english, location near hutong, near convenience stall, food stall (Mcd's, Yoshinoya, local stalls), near Beijing Railway station, short taxi ride to Wang Fu Jing, Tian an men, Forbidden city (about 15 minutes walk). Room was clean with daily room service. Hotel also equipped with lift, convenient for the elderly (hotel has 7 floors). Within the hotel also has travel agent, restaurant and cafe though we did not try them. However, it may be necessary to write down the hotel name and address in chinese as taxi drivers seem to be unsure of the hotel's location. Overall, good experience and will definitely recommend the hotel to travellers to Beijing.

This hotel is well located near Beijing train station, making it easy to get around. Its a basic hotel, but ok value for the price. The staff spoke some English and were helpful, the food options at the hotel were very basic though. Overall I'd recommend staying here if the price is right.

Great Hotel for price. Good clean rooms, friendly and efficient service, helpful staff. Great location easy to get to and from. Next to Beijing Railway Station. Easy to get to most of Beijing's shopping and tourist attractions. Recommended. Try to get a room on lower floors, slightly bigger. Maybe get name and address of hotel written in Chinese characters for taxi drivers at airport...but not essential. No major Cons. This is a hotel I would strongly recommend for people looking for a clean, convenient, friendly and helpful hotel. If I get to Beijing again I would always try to stay here.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : So easy to get almost anywhere in Beijing from this Hotel.

Best location (from main railway station and Wanfujing), Staffs are so helpful and some speak good English. curtain in the bathroom need to be repaired. We travel from shanghai using the night train and arrived at the hotel around 730am. The hotel was so close to the Beijing railway station and can be easily find without a map.(The hotel sign can be seen from the station). Even though it was too early the hotel staff was very generous to let us for early check in. Most of the staff can speak English, the room was clean and warm to keep us from Beijing's winter icy cold. We asked for several stuffs from the housekeeping and the response was superbly quick. Overall we had a pleasant stay there and looking forward to use the same hotel for the next Beijing trip.

hotel food is pretty average This hotel is good value for money. just don't ask the staff you write you notes in Chinese for your travels. We asked them to write us one for Beijing South train station and the taxi took us to the West station. Missed our train and found out the note was wrong. Had to book another nights accomidation and another train. Very disappointing.

walking distance to BeiJing Station (line 2) and Dong Dan (line 1).
Surrounded by eateries like 24hours, Mcdonalds, and Yong He You Tiao. Supermarkets operates 24 hours too.
A short walk to the famous Wang Fu Jing shopping district.
Helpful staff and very attentive housekeeper.
Clean Rooms. No pubs within the hotel.
No nice view from room as the hotel is only 7 storey high.
Hard to locate if it is your first time there as the hotel is hidden from the main street. Only once you get the hang of it, it is really easy to navigate yourself around.
Most taxi drivers are not familiar of the hotel. (guess they only focus on those 5 stars ones).
Bed seems to hard for comfort. The best deal of Harmony Hotel has to be the location. WangFujing, Silk Market, TianAnMen are possible a mere two to three train stops. Service standards of staff are good. The only complaint has to be the bed. As though you are resting on a rock.
Restaurant Tip : Try the famous Yong He You Tiao next to McDonalds which is a short walk from the hotel entrance. Serves very good breakfast at a reasonable price. (problem is the menu is only in Chinese)

Near major attractions, near transportation, near great resturants. Bed was very hard, breakfast was not very good, hard to get a taxi. Overall, the hotel was satisfactory. Unfortunately the bed was so hard that it gave both of us back pain. Fortunately, it was a 15 minute walk or so from major sights. The hotel was very good with helping us to book a daily tour to the Great Wall of China. The staff was very helpful and polite at all times.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Forbidden City was just a 15 minute walk away.

walking distance close to beijing rail station, and to the subway station. very good for budget travellers staff speaks english, but with difficulty to prepare urself to speak slowly. Lift doors close much too quick, so make sure u r rapid enough to enter or exit the lifts... I had wonderful time in the hotel, iys neat and clean, breakfast is GREAT, location is central and near a subway, but the hoytel lifts close too fast, so be quick to enter or exit from the lifts. All the rest is very good.
Travel tip : hotel is located near beijing rail station subway, and just there is a internet cafe, mc donalds, and post office. so, all these things are just stone throw from hotel :))

Every staff I dealt with was professional and seemed to take their job seriously.
Good location close to train station and subway. None noted. It is a 2-3 star hotel that does its job efficiently and effectively. I arrived on an early morning train so it was wonderful to walk over to the Harmony and check in and clean up. This hotel is a 2-3 star hotel that has no pretentions about being rated higher but does a wonderful job. The staff were all professional and it just seemed like an extremely well managed place. Close to the railway station and subways, it was easy to get around. The rooms were clean and well looked after. There is a lobby bar but it does get very busy.
I highly recommend this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to the subway for ease of getting around.

Good location near train station--walking distance. Everything in Beijing is very spread out but hotel is only a short taxi ride from Tiananmen Square and the silk market. Shower wasn't the hottest. It's only a small boutique-style hotel but the rooms are clean and spacious. The location is good, it is within walking distance to the train station and only a short taxi ride away (about €2) to the main tourist attractions such as Tiananmen Square, the silk market and the Forbidden Ccity. The front desk are obliging and have good English for organising transfers to and from the aiport, etc. Would stay there again for the location if going to Beijing again.

Harmony hotel was clean and comfortable and situated just next to Beijing railway station (walking distance!).
The staff spoke very good english compared to other parts of China. They were very helpful advicing adresses, etc.
There was always a taxi waiting for you. The Internet was not included to the price which is why I was disappointed. It costed 50 RMB per day and didn't work in every room.
I booked the Harmony hotel through Agoda and it was a quite good travel agency. Byt notice that if someone else pays your room with his/her credit card, you need to send copies of that credit card to Agoda's office. It could have been complicated since I wasn't sure if the hotel receives the information, but after all everything worked out just fine. And if you book the hotel with Agoda and pay it with your credit card, you need to show your own credit card in Harmony hotel's reception when checked in.
Travel tip : There are two metro stations just nearby, but in the begining of August the Beijing Railway station was closed.
