The location is great. Easy access to Dongsi Station. Moreover, there are plenty of small restaurants next to the hostel
Power outage but not the fault of the hostel
Hostel 161 is an ideal hostel for travelers visiting Beijing because of its good location. It is located close to a supermarket (Wumart), small restaurants and subway station (Dongsi).

clean room, friendly helpful staff, good location
Smelly bathroom, nowhere to put your clothes, internet access was poor.
This hostel was in a good location, just a 5 minute walk from the subway which takes you all over Beijing. We had a double room which was very clean. The bathroom was clean but the smell from the drains was bad. The staff didnt speak much english but were very helpful where they could be. The room could have done with a wardrobe to put clothes in as we had to keep them all over the desk and floor. Internet access in the room was poor and always lost connection. Heating worked well.
