had a really great stay. hotel is near wangfujing. staff were good. lovely room with all glass bathroom/toilets. reasonable price. had a sauna and gym. nice design. will stay here again.
cons - quite a walk to nearest subway station. room was quite cold even though heater was on. may be better with carpet floor.

In the heart of Beijing

Its a good choice for someone who choose to visit the main atractions in Beijing and at the same time do some shopping.
The hotel its locatd in the same block as the Forbiden City, and its possible to walk until there, visited the monument, Tiannamen Square, the Tower of the Bell and the Garden near.
The hotel as a contemporary dsign, the rooms are big, with all the confort, and if you visit Beijing in hot days, you can enjoy an excusivly small garden for each room.
The satff is nice, always making a efford to speak english and giv advise for places to visit.
The subway its very near and only cost 3 renminbi each journey and its clean and easy to larn all the stations.
There is a nice chinese restaurant in the hotel and at nigth transforns into to a bar.
The breafast as agood standard
If you want to stay in Beijing, the Kapok Wangfujing its a nice option, since its located near the shopping paradise.

Cool, modern hotel with amazing suites

Definitely the coolest looking hotel I stayed at in China. The staff were very helpful and genuinely wanted to engage with you in conversation.
The lobby is great and has a small library of books in various languages.
The hotel restaurant was nice and breakfast was pleasant with plenty of variety.
The suite we stayed in was huge, modern and comfortable. The best part of the suite was the bathroom. very large with a great shower and incredibly deep bath. We arrived at the start of winter so after sight seeing for hours in the biting cold there was nothing better than getting into a deep, hot bath.
Its worth mentioning that the rooms were quite cold during our stay. As I said we were there during winter but it didn't seem like there was a proper central heating system in place.
The location was fantastic. You are about 10 minutes walk from a great food market full of all sorts of weird and wonderful things, with plenty of restaurants near by. Tiananman square and the forbidden city are all within walking distance.
The hotel was definitely on the pricey side, but its worth upgrading to the suite for a little extra. I would probably stay here again ( although I will leave china for the summer ).

The room design is moden and comfortable.
Just 10 minutes walk you can easily reach the shopping area and the restaurant just opposite the hotel.

This time we get cought by snow in Beijing and very lucky that the restaurant just oppisite the hotel.
The design of the room is the bathroom without the door and is only cover by glass to be partition and the door only cover by sliding curtain.We are fill not use to it especially go for big one.
The hotel service is excellent ,in snow day that is very hard to get a Taxi and the bell boy have to walk in the snow and wait about 20 minutes to stop the Taxi.
The popular Tian Aun Men only 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
We like this hotel and we will stay again once we come back to Beijing.
Restaurant Tip:
Must try the hotel breakfast,that is many choice.

This hotel is full of foreigners from oversea,so we can easily communicate with staff who can speak fluently English.the room is new,modern style and clean.It's 10 minutes walk to Wangfujing street,about 15 minutes to subway station.There is also tour survice and can book for visit great wall and other attractions.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
forbiiden city is a must if you come to Beijing besides great wall and summer palace.For the first place, it is easily access from the hotel by walking about 15 minutes,you will reach east gate of forbidden city,but have to go further to the south gate which is the entrance ticket office.summer palace ;can reach by subway. for great wall should take local tour with English speaking guide. or if you want to go by yourself there are also public buses bring to different parts of great wall.

We stayed in a Fashion Suite it was really nice but it has become cluttered. The original design of the room is nice but someone in the staff has no taste and has put a lot of weird stuff in the room that doesn't fit at all. A shame for a cool design concept.
Take a room including breakfast it is worth it.

i have originally booked the courtyard room for the duration of our stay in beijing but decided to extend our holiday later on so i had to book the extended stay separately and chose the fashion suite. i would say that the courtyard room was just a typical hotel room size that you can get for a deluxe room. its nice and clean and made up everyday. the other type of room we stayed in was the fashion suite. we absolutely loved it!! its massive and just the same, its nice and clean. its got a huge tub (which you will really appreciate after going through an hectic day!), and a living room on its own. i would say both rooms were fantastic except for one thing..we found the bed a bit hard. location wise, although the hotel is situated within the tourist spot, the street was actually quiet and made our entire stay really pleasant! i'd like to highlight as well that the hotel staff were extremely nice and very accommodating. one of them really helped us how to go out and about beijing and recommended good sites and restaurant.

Very convenient location, walking distance to lots of tourists spots and shopping area. Quite at night and staffs are friendly helpful and provide service with smile. The mattress is hard which might be a Chinese standard. And the shower area needs some remodeling. One day we need to go to an earlier tour, the breakfast does not start at 6:30am as the hotel stated. 2 staffs finally show up around 6:45am.
Restaurant Tip:
Dadong is nearby which serves the best Peking duck I ever have in my life

1. Wangfujing street which is known for Beijing's street food, is just 5-min walk away from the hotel.
2. There's a local restaurant recommended by the hotel staff along wangfujing street, and we really enjoyed the food there. The serving was big and food was yummy! The restaurant is called DA WAN JU.
3. Although Forbidden city was just around the corner, the main entrance where you can get the ticket still requires about 15-20 min walk from the hotel (with a toddler in tow).
4. Tiananmen square is just across the road of Forbidden city's main entrance.
