Definitely won't come to this hotel ever again.
i would be ashamed to recommend this hotel to anyone.

The trouble with checking in.
We book this hotel through Agoda for 2 rooms for 2 nights. We arrive late in the afternoon, tired from our journey driving from another city, they said there was no record of our booking. I insisted and showed them the voucher sent me, but they still refuse to let us in, until we agreed to pay a deposit of 5000 yuan.
I gave them my credit card, and whole family's passports. After a while they handed me the receipt and passports, and room cards.
And I took it without checking it again.
Not until almost midnight I got a call from receptionist that I left my credit card there.
So they hold my credit card for more than 4 hours. God knows what they want with my card, as it's pretty much a standard procedure to return the card along with the receipt.
So i had to call international to my country to hav ethe card blocked.
The trouble with car park.
We had a car to drive during this vacation, the problem is they really try to screw you in every possible event.
When we enter the parking lot, there was no one at the entrance so we figured that as customer to hotel, we don't need to take parking ticket.
But as we were getting to elevator, a lady guest of the hotel was there after parking her car. And she asked me if i have we ask for parking ticket. When we said no, she told us that this is a normal scheme that the parking guy do. And in the morning when you want to get out and can't show the parking ticket, you will be fined.
The ticket is available at the exit door. Something that is not possible to figure out for a new guest.
The trouble with the room.
So We finally got to bed, and around 2 am, we were sweating in our sleep as it was very hot.
I checked the controller, and it was set to the lowwest temp. So I called the guest service to complain about it, expecting to hear that it was broken. But the answer shocked me. They said the boss ordered them to turned off the air con off to save the electric bill.
What a hotel!

Stodgy and Needs Some Customer Service Training

The hotel staff does not speak English very well. Check-in took over 30 minutes and they have you sit down while you check-in.
Smoke filled lobby in not desirable
Rooms are very nice with a great bathroom, but the hotel staff needs to go to customer service training! They were not rude, but just lacked being friendly and helpful. From the bellman to the front desk staff, I felt like I was a bother to them when I had to check-in and for them to carry my bags to my room.
Also the website said near the World Trade Center, but it is over 3km to there. There are hotels that are much closer.

great hotel outstanding service good food, i enjoy this this hotel and its location for me i was meet friends here they lived close and not that for from forbidden city! i really have to say its a nice place a little old but well keep!!
Travel tip:
make sure you get the breakfast in your room rate it well worth it!!

I like this hotel because of the gym and pool.
The location is not too bad....there are foot mssage salons nearby as well as supermarket - Carrefour - about 10 mins walking distance.
The room is ok. Free internet. Bed is comfy and big.
Overall, I like this hotel for its reasonable price.

The 10th floor is a duplex where the bed is upstairs and the living room is downstairs. A bit awkward. There are 3 standard floors where guests are still allowed to smoke. After 11pm, you may get some cards with "lovely ladies" on them and their telephone numbers. Besides the awkward architecture and the somewhat dingy atmosphere, it is safe, located in a somewhat central area, and quite cheap for a hotel in Beijing.

Hotel rooms faling apart,3 star hotels max.

Beds are in poor condition.(squiking,colapsing).
Shovers mouldy,shover head not funcioning proper way,no complementary water in bathrooms.
Not DVD player

Internali pore condition and room too old and porly maintained.
Hotel location on midle of no atractive part of city.
Lock for better option.

spacious rooms and the memory of elegance
the gardens adjoining the hotel are like being in Vienna, Austria. Lots of fitness machines, great pool for lap swimming

for the price i did not mind that the rooms have not been kept up as they could be. wear and tear is noticeable. i asked for a really fresh stain to be cleaned from the thick carpet and the housekeeper did not care to have it done or do it. said they needed to use a machine.
mold spots in the shower. bathrooms big and nice. the hotel adjoins an apartment complex that
shares the spacious european looking gardens and walkways. i so enjoyed strolling in them and the view. mini frig not really cold enough. staff were nice and helpful.
Travel tip:
If you are 5 star you will be disappointed but if you want comfort and a nice room the price is great.
