It is very good hotel, good services, good location easy to go anywhere. Good English speaking staff. Wi-fi should be offer for free in room. If hotel can provide lobby (real lobby not lobby bar)for guests who waiting for driver will be good. We will go back.
Shopping Tip:
It is in a walking distance to Silk Street and MRT station.

The Jianguo Hotel have a good service, perfect location. A lot of restaurants around it and near Silk Street and Shopping. There`s many options of transportation... bus, subway, taxi...
Shopping Tip:
Near the Hotel you can find the Silk Street... a shopping mall where you can buy clothes, chinese souvenirs, eletronics, make up...

The best hotels i have been visiting i Beijing

i have returned to this hotel several times, the location and friendly staf and ofcourse the possibility to book over the net is very good.
Shopping Tip:
Shopping nearby, the forbidden city is walking distance,if you want to sse the wall the hotel help you with english speking driver.
Try this and you will be satisfied.

Good hotel for Businessperson

This is my first time at this hotel and if I come to Beijing for Business in city center. This hotel is a great option to have on hand.
It right next to a metro station, a Starbucks and McDonald. If you take the bus (cost only RMB1), it about 4 stops away from walking street (next to the Royal Palace).
The only down point is it's very difficult to find a taxi, especially during rush hour. Apart from that this is a great hotel.

This hotel is very nice, in terms of the room, the lobby and the restaurant. The room is spacious and neat, which enabled me to take a good rest after work. Though the lobby is not big, it's still nice to have a quick meeting there with someone, also there's live performance of piano and violin. The food in the restaurant tastes OK, you may pick the window seat and enjoy the garden view of the hotel.

great location but staff are not very helpful

the best thing about the hotel is its location.. 2 min walk to a metro station and 5 to the silk markets where many trips are essential if you enjoy shopping.. only a couple of metro stops away from the Forbidden City and Tiananmen square.. however staff are not very helpful and speaks poor english so you better know your way around and do not need much assistance from the.. anything slightly different from the norm and they are unable to assist.
Shopping Tip:
Bargain hard at the silk markets.. offer 10 to 20% of the asking price and you will surely get most of what you want to buy at that price

hotel is fine.. everything you need is here.. swimming pool, internet, cafes, restaurants, rooms are spacious and a metro station is 2 min walk. on the other hand, service is not that great as english is not well spoken and the staff are happy to help you as long as your requests are straightforward. anythig slightly out of the ordinary and they struggle. still recommend it beccause of its proximity to attractions. the silk market is also next door if you are into shopping
Shopping Tip:
The silk market is the best market in Beijing.. everything is here.. you would not need to go anywhere else

I have been in this hotel several times before, this was the first time booking via Agoda. Everything was working fine, from checking (maybe transfer of order into hotel booking system could be improved) over the room quality to the breakfast, everything according to my wishes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to Silk marked and fight hard about lower price, it is a funny experience. Further on walk along Silk marked about 5 - 10 min to enjoy the big light tunnel up to 10 pm.
