great location, friendly staff The Park Plaza Hotels are always great. THey provide excellent service and are in great locations. We also recommend the ice cream that they make. The staff can speak english so you can always ask them questions about beijing. There is a subway station near by that leads to the silk market. We went on a tour through the hotel to the great wall and the summer palace and it was safe and great.
Restaurant Tip : There is a great place to eat called sunny restaurant right outside

The cab drivers sometimes get lost. When we arrived we were told over booked and we will send you to our sister hotel. I thought great I need to go where? The doorman quickly whisked us next door to the Regent. The upgrade was fantastic. We had a great time in China like we always do. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a trip to China. The only downfall is the address cards they use are not exactly for the address. We found out later that the hotel was so new, many cab drivers did not know it very well.
Restaurant Tip : Great duck served just across the street.
