The prime was an excellent choice for my recent pre-olympic visit to Beijing. the hotel itself was very good and in a location that allowed for great sightseeing. food at the hotel was fine although breakfast was not included but a nice coffee shop down the shopping street was in easy access. Staff had good English and did what they could to assist. I would recommend this hotel to all travellers visiting Beijing for business and sightseeing

close to beijing subway which can be very effective during rush hours
- Travel tip : 50 meters south of the hotel a great place for foot massage

On the description of the amenities at the hotel it is stated high speed Internet connection. But this is only possible using the hotel computer and comes with a cost. Normally, I bring my own laptop and connect via wireless connection which I prefer.

Pay a few dollars more and book at the Ritz Beijing or Intercontinental. Prime is very outdated, smells and very poor beds.

Make sure you research and print the name of your hotel in Chinese characters: taxi drivers don't know the alphabet, and don't know the "English" name of your hotel. Prime Hotel is Hua Qiao Da Sha.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Beihai Park: rent a boat for an hour for RMB 60. No one on board but you/your group (up to 6 people). Nice and fun.

I thing its price is a little high.
- Shopping Tip : Go to the Pearl Market, its easier to bargain. The silk market is great late.
