Large comfortable room, well appointed, grand feel.

Service not up to the standard of other top hotels in Beijing -- seems to be run for the benefit of staff convenience rather than guests.

This is a well located hotel, near the Forbidden City, galleries, shops and transport to business meetings. A very grand and comfortable feel. Unfortunately let down by poor service from many staff (who seems to run the place for their benefit rather than for guests) and a restaurant that is well below the quality of its peers. Recommended for travellers who want to experience "old Beijing", but there are better offerings for business travellers in Beijing.

A true 5 star hotel, excellent service, keen on details, love it and will come back again.

The hotel is very special in terms of both it's Victorian architecture and uncountable VIPs stays, filled with historic atmosphere yet absolutely well-maintained. I love the different carpet with very beautiful patterns on each floor. There is a reading room I enjoyed a lot. You can spend quite time reading or watch TV. The staff treated their residents with great services and confidence.

Hotel Feature Tip : The shops in the hotels always displayed Certain Chinese art and treasures. You can spend a whole afternoon just browsing inside the hotel.

location 5 minutes walk from the Forbidden City Elegant historical architecture and large rooms Warm welcome with guest PR officer, John, makes one feel very special.

Perhaps in the casual restaurant some dishes like the pasta were disappointing.

The elegance of Raffle's century old architecture matches the grandeur of Beijing and the rows of chandeliers twinkling among the high arches of the lobby are on a scale worthy of this great city. The warmth of the welcome and the large comfortable rooms make Raffles feel more and more like home after each expedition in the city.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Behind the lovely traditional wall in the block to the right of Raffles are lovely Chinese restaurants in this pudong area of the city
