Really nice rooms, good and big swimmingpool and spa facilities, relaxing enviornment, good service, good taxi service that helped explain the driver where you were going (a big plus in Beijing)

We had a fantastic stay at the Regent. It was very relaxing and it was nice that all of the staff understood English. They taxi service was good as well since it prevents you from driving with drivers that wants to cheat you and they can tell them where you are going. The room were really nice and the spa facilities and gym was really good as well. I can only recommend this hotel. We diden't have any meals there so i don't know how the food is, because it was pretty expensive.

We spent 3 night In Régent Beijing.
The hotel is a little old, but the swimming was recently renovated.
The service was ok but it was difficult to communicate in English.
Mainly with the spa tender.

Arrived at the hotel around 9am and expected to check in earliest at noon. To my surprise they told me they could get me a room in an hour...pleasant surprise! It's a great relief as I was exhausted from the red eye flight from Singapore...
Stay at the club floor and the room was spacious, clean and had plenty of international/local channels. The 24 hour room service provided convenience as there was not much eateries around if you need a bite late in the night...
Easy access to cabs and plenty of branded shopping in the Wang Fu Jing area...Near to subway but only downside was the lack of fast food restaurants/cheap eateries nearby...another is the climate control in the room...natural air was pumped into the room and made the room a little stuffy as they did not use air conditioning in Spring...problem can be easily solved by opening the window slightly...Heard this was a common issue in Beijing
Overall a very comfortable hotel and this is the kind of hotel I would want to return from a exhausting day of business meetings....
