Quiet, very clean, nice rooms, and the staff are all very helpful and speak really good English.
Beijing really didn't appeal to me as a city, in a whole lot of ways, but there was nothing wrong with the hotel.
The hotel was great. The staff were all really helpful and they all speak really good English. It was very quiet, which I appreciated. I didn't do any of their day tours, but I can highly recommend their evening tours. I looked up famous restaurants on the internet and went to them, but the less known ones that the staff at the hotel recommended were much better. There's also a good tailor based there if you want to get a suit made.
Restaurant Tip : Ask the hotel staff where to get peking duck.
The place they recommended is a short walk from the hotel, and was far better than the really famous places I went to.
Arrange the peking opera tour through the hotel. You won't pay any more than if you booked the tickets yourself, and they'll drive you there, show you your seat, and pick you up when it's over.
