located just a short walk to wangfujing, bus stop just in front of the hotel, closest subway station is dengshikou.
there is 24h convenient store and 24h fast food rest..
Restaurant Tip:
right next to the hotel there is a noodle rest, don't get wrong, they serve not only noodle there, actually the sweet n sour pork is one of the best we ate in beijing

hotel is clean, functional and in a good location. close to the forbidden city and wangfujing street. wangfujing street, which is one of the most famous streets in beijing. people usually don't recommend wangfujing for that kind of shopping tourists usually seeks; most stores and malls are pretty exclusive, and the prices are about the same as we are used to. however, the street is worth visiting anyway - the nightlife is fantastic! there are loads of people walking, laughing and even dancing together!

The best location you will need to explore Wangfujing shopping street which is just stone throw away. It is also near to Dengshikou subway station with 10 minutes of walking. Bus No.111 to Hutong, Gulou (Drum Tower) and Houhai passes by in front of the hotel. Free Wifi is available at lobby as well as hotel rooms. Not much facilities in the hotel but it's fine for me since we rather explore the city than staying whole day in the hotel. Staffs are also helpful but not really good in English. In room facilities are excellent except some of the things are chargeable. TV channels are more than enough though most of the channels are in Mandarin. Overall it is a good and relaxing hotel to stay to explore Beijing.
I'm fine in Mandarin speaking staffs but if you are English speaking travelers than communicating with some of the staffs can be a problem. Air conditioning system in some hotel rooms are not as cold or warm as you wish. Be careful when you use those amenities provided in room as many of them are chargeable, even the cotton puds, especially when you don't understand Chinese. Things provided for free are 2 bottles of drinking water, tooth brush and tooth paste, shower gel, shampoo, lotion, and 2 packs of coffee and tea. Not really English friendly if you don't understand Chinese well.

Best bang for your buck hotel in Beijing

Hotel is only a 5-10 mins walk to Tiananmen Square. It made shopping very convenient. I wish they had tubs in the room, but the shower was good enough. Staff spoke enough English for you to convey your message. The tourist desk was very helpfully and she spoke very good English.
Restaurant Tip:
Skip the hotel meals. Directly across the street from hotel is a Chinese restaurant called "Happy .....something". It is where locals eat. Food is excellent, fresh, and dirt cheap. They are open from 6am-10pm. They have picture menu if you don't speak mandarin. Next door to it is 7-11 and a steamed buns place. Do yourself a favor and get you some fresh steamed buns for 50¢.
