The staff at the Tian Rui is so friendly and helpful that you feel like you're staying with family. There is always someone with adequate English skills on staff. We were there on two different occasions in July 08 and found the rooms to be spacious, beds comfortable, air-conditioning great with the very hot and humid weather. We loved that is is a moderate sized hotel tucked in a hutong and not a mega high-rise. You can walk to Forbidden City and to the upscale nearby walking/shopping street. You can find the craziest street food right next to the Armani Emporium. Their breakfast buffet has both Western and Eastern selections and their lounge is very comfortable.
