nice entrance. For a 5 star hotel, the rooms could be better. Staff is friendly. Very convenient locations
no major CONS for this hotel.
Price is fair for a 5 STAR hotel. It is convenient to all the \"visitor must go\" places. Staff is friendly. Hotel entrance is very Grand, but rooms could be much better to fit the 5 STAR status. The room is adequate size and is clean. I would stay at this hotel again, but would like to try other 5 STAR hotel also since prices is similar

Before we arrived, I contacted The Peninsula Beijing Hotel regarding transportation from the hotel and prices. They responded immediately with all answers to my questions. When we arrived, our check-in was very quick and everyone was very friendly and efficient. Our room was beautiful and the breakfast was fabulous. I would highly recommend this hotel. Concierge service was very helpful arranging our tours. The location of the hotel was wonderful, within walking distance of many interesting areas. Agoda's prices were much better than the ones we received from our travel agent - everything was fabulous.
Hotel Feature Tip : breakfast was fabulous

Great location, walking distance to Forbidden City, clean, excellent service, concierge well versed in English, great breakfast buffet.
Expensive, western and Chinese restaurants, both expensive with tasty but limited menus.
Since both Western and Chinese restaurants are expensive it is recommended to venture outside, right across the street are very reasonable priced Chinese restaurants. One block away is a street with numerous Chinese restaurants. Also, if one plans to go to an evening event, by taxi, make sure you allow extra time, it might take up to 10 minutes to fetch taxi, hotel bell boys are helpful, but taxis are busy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Work with hotel staff to book tours. They are great!
