Moldy bathroom, ill-equipped staff, difficulty to find
The hotel is named Wangfujing, but it's a misnomer since the hub of Wangfujing is a good 10-minute walk from here. The room were horrible and our smelled like smoke. Also, the electronic door keys were not working and we had to call the maid staff to open our door every time we wanted back into the room. The bathrooms had mold everywhere. The situation was so bad that we quickly transferred our stay from here to the Novotel down the street.
Hotel Feature Tip : This hotel has no Internet, so go down to the Novotel which has Internet terminals and free wi-fi.

rooms bit old and many times had difficulty in opening the room door with key and had to seek assistance from reception

Location was good. Off of DongDan Rd. Make sure you have an address in Chinese to tell your taxi driver because none of the taxi drivers speak English. Bring the hotel telephone number so driver can call hotel to get the address if needed. Walk west on the small street to get to Wangfujing or walk one street south if you do not feel comfortable walking down dark street at night. Should be safe though. 1 minute walk to subway.
Rooms were ok, considering the price. Clean rooms and washroom. Didn't have breakfast, wasn't sure if it was available. Never had a problem with heating in the room. Visited during winter.
Walls were either thin or the neighbour was talking loud. Probably a combination of both. I could hear the neighbour talking on the phone.
Internet is available free in the rooms if you have a computer.
