Also known as the Great Dragon Hotel, the hotel enjoys a VIP clientele and is frequented by party and state leaders. Conveniently located close to the city center, Zhaolong Hotel is within easy walking distance to Sanlitun and other nightlife venues. It is also close to the various expatriate haunts of Beijing. The hotel has several recreational facilities including swimming pool, sauna, message, and karaoke. Guests also have the option of enjoying complimentary workouts in the hotel�s Nirvana Fitness Spa. Staff are exceptionally helpful and will even act as translators to help guests communicate with non English speaking cab drivers.

Clean, quiet and relatively classic decor
Service staff needs to smile more!
I was in Beijing for a business trip with an option to extend my stay. So i was looking around for nice and affordable hotel in the central area and I chanced upon Zhao long hotel.
Its location must be one of the better ones because I it is within walking distance to San Li tun area, which is the party and chill out zones. There are also plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance so it is really convenient to go to where the night life is. It is also a 5 minutes walk to a Chinese Restaurant called Lau Dong with serves up its famous Peking Duck. But do beware, it is EXPENSIVE.
The service in the hotel is pretty decent and you do get what you want if you ask for it. There is also health club where you can get massage and all but don't even bother, its overpriced and the massage ain't great. One can get much value for money at other places.
Also, forget about eating breakfast and other meals at the hotel because you can find really good and cheap food around the hotel for less than half the price.
So in essence, Zhao Long hotel is a good choice for travelers who are looking for a decent value for money ratio. Its not the cheapest in town, nor is it the best, but its adequately comfortable while not burning a hole in your wallet.
Nightlife Tip : San Li Tun. its the place to chill and hang out.

Location,cleanliness, friendly staff
The hotel location is great. Right at the Nongzhanguan subway stop on the number 10 line. A short walk to the Sanlitun bar street and chic restaurants. Shopping varies from upscale right next store to the hotel and at the villages to the crazy, knockoff,bargain capital of the area at the Yashow building. Bookworm is 200 yards away as well. Oh and BTW the room and bath were clean and comfortable. Separate tub and shower. Room AC left a little something to be desired but windows opened.
Hotel Feature Tip : Bring a bathing suit and cap(required for both men and women,20yuan if you need to buy one).A dip in the pool feels great after you shop till you drop and before you hit the bars and restaurants.
