Some of the staff were absolutely not friendly. When we had a problem they would answer us very quickly they couldn't help us and went on with their work. The location on the other hand is great. It 's very close to the entrance of the park and the temples, which by the way are the only things to see in Chengde. If you visit Chengde I would recommend you to stay in this hotel. They even had a special breakfast made for foreigners because they knew we usually don't like to eat Chinese breakfast

- Great location: just opposite key tourist attraction
- Fairly clean
- Only 1 hotel mgr can speak english so u should practice pantomine w/ other reception. (typical in China)
- slow check-in check-out time (than typical Chinese hotel same standard)
- I travel w/ mom in wheelchair and this hotel is convenient with lift, ramp, proper drop-off level to lobby floor, entry and public pathway outside are all fine.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : - just across the street is main atrtraction of the city
- as of central location, convenient to reach from bus station to hotel (at night w/out Chinese-speaking friend)
-also easy to catch taxi to other place around the town.
