The hotel offers all of the necessity one could wish. It is smack bang in the middle of the city, close to shops and also some popular attraction such as ChunXi Lu and JinLi + ZhugeLiang tomb. It is also close to Lan Kwai Fong for those who likes the night life. Hotel is a bit old and looks a bit worn, but the staff tries their best to help, room has all the stuffs you need. Hotel also offer breakfast, which is not great but for the price you pay... worth it. Some staff speak basic English which is enough but there are some who speak decent english who even give you their number in case you get lost and need someone local to speak to taxi driver.
Make sure you visit bookworm, a nice english speaking cafe to get you set up with maps and information. The travelling service do not speak english, but there is a travelling service outside who are really helpful. They are around the corner next to KFC, which I will talk a bit more in travel tip section.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
ChengDu is a very nice city with very nice people. To start off with first go to Bookworm, it's a cafe designed to accomodate local and international people. Secondly, I did not get what I want from the travelling service in the hotel, however I received tremendous help a travelling service around the corner from KFC, it is called ChengDu Tianfun International travel service. One of the lady who helped me claimed not to speak english but helped me very very well. Her english is not that bad especially her written english. Between pen and paper conversation and her helpfulness, made my stay in ChengDu one of the best stay ever.

good location but lousy room

We are disappointed with the rooms though location is good. The stench in the bathroom is terrible, possibly a leak from sewage. After complaining for 2 days we managed to change to another room on 3rd day. But atlas, we later found out one of the bed was sagging and then the cistern flushing is not working. The hotel is about 15 years old and the upkeep of the rooms is very poor. We will never stay there again.
