Efficient luxury.
Location is good, the food is not bad and the whole 5 star experience is typical but it is a good welcome in China.

Room is nice and keeps the level of Shangri-La
Staff is regular, but still much better than other hotel in China.
There is a really nice bar in first floor.
With live band and variety drink choice.
It worths to spend some time here.

Only 'negative' point I can find is the food. I think that the buffet at cafe Z is average. I would expect a higher level for this chain of hotel.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable and clean hotel to stay at.
The service was quick, efficient and polite.
The room size was decent and the furnishings were comfortable.
Love that the hotel has a really good Chinese restaurant- when i tired of room service, i could just pop down for a delicious meal (with efficient service).

Nice hotel, Shangri-la standard.
Airport pick up service was smooth, when I arrived in hotel, everything was ready, no need to wait as the e-check in was done on the way. This efficient service was great for biz travelers. Chi Spa was as great as that in other Shangri-la hotels.

The only thing disappointing was the breakfast service, some staff were not motivated to do their job. But after my feedback, the restaurant manager and the lobby service manager reacted very well.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Must not miss the Kuanzhai Xiang (the wide and narrow streets), a lot of nice restaurants and bars

Excellent Hotel Well Located in Chengdu

I was promptly picked up at the airport and my car / driver was accompanied by an English speaking representative of the hotel. I was met at the hotel entrance by another representative who immediately took me to my well-appointed room and check me in in-room using a mobile device. WiFi avbl in the room.
Restaurant Tip:
Nice Irish pub with live entertainment at night and WiFi in the pub.
