Best sea view in Dali
Er Hai's sea view is unbeatable.

Hotel is right on the west side of Er Hai. Its large outdoor common area has chairs, tables and sofa beds to enjoy unbeatable sea view. It is a very private setting as no public access to this part of sea side.
Our room was on 2nd floor with large glass windows and unobstructed sea view. Right outside our door, there is a beach table and seats for 4 people.
Room is clean and well decorated. There is no heater but hotel provided a portable space heater during cold nights.
However, hotel towels are small, old and appear dirty sometimes. It is a shame for such a nice hotel NOT providing good-quality towels.
The other thing to know is that it is a little out of way of Dali old town. It's going to cost you if going to old town often. But that makes this place quite and peaceful with less tourists.
Restaurant Tip:
Hotel meals are very limited and relatively expensive.

the hotel is amazing, location is beautiful on the lake but getting there is not easy, local team is very nice and will arrange a driver to pick you up from airport with reasonable fare, it is not such welcome hotel for kids, also there is no air condition cold or hot so at the cold season in dali it is a bit problematic, it is a private owner hotel so it has it's pros and cons, it is new hotel so some improvements are needed, the water temperature in the shower goes up and down and one pillow per twin size bed is not acceptable, wifi cannot reach the rooms, crew and management are very nice people, breakfast is good as well, the manager himself will help and guide through things to do in the area.

Call the hotel before arriving to arrange pickup, taxi will not find this hotel

Simple but comfortable rooms, good size, great bathroom facilities, each room has great aspect to the lake and large front decking areas are wonderful to eat, drink and relax upon.
Breakfasts are simple but tasty.
Travel tip:
If you like your beer cold, ask them to put it in a proper fridge. Transport to and from the town is a bit tricky, but it is good to get away to the quiet of the lake after a busy Old Town Dali.

Relaxing and great lake view

overall a most relaxing and peaceful stay. lady owner was very nice and helped us with anything we needed. she and her family used their own personal car to drive us out on one of the days. a big thank you to lee , who checked us out early and prepared a quick breakfast for the family. wouk definitely rate this place and visit again. the only bad experience if i had to say was because it was high season, it can get crowded with loads of kids. lady owner advise nov- dec time is best to visit for a more quiet time.

Disappointing Rooms Beside the Lake

For a party of 3 who were excited to experience a modern boutique hotel on the shores of Erhai Lake, we were instead severely disappointed in the following ways, which resulted in our checking out a day early that was ultimately not refunded:
(1) Hotel room did not have a proper bathroom. Only saloon doors separated it from the room, which, given its poor ventilation, led to what need not to be uttered unpleasantries.
(2) Hotel room had problems with cleanliness, such as dirt on the cement floors and spiders in the bathroom.
(3) Hotel room did not have fully stocked toiletries. For example, tissue roll was so low we had to ask for a new roll the night we moved in and there also was not enough soap or shampoo.
(4) Hotel location is next to lake, as advertised; however, it is down so many twisting lanes in Longkan Village that hotel asks you to call certain taxi drivers who know the way. If you come back after midnight, you need to ask staff for their cell phone so someone will let you in. In short, the hotel is not easily accessed and effectively requires you to travel with a local cell phone (otherwise, you will incur roaming charges for calling their taxis and/or staff).
(5) The lakeside deck offers beautiful views of the deck; however, it is quickly overcome by giant spiders and spiderwebs at night along with rats that emerge from the surrounding shore.
To be fair, the staff here are very nice and try their best to accommodate your needs. In light of the price point, which is high given the region, the hotel should have been more transparent in advertising the spartan condition of its rooms, the difficulty in finding its location and the restrictions on entering the hotel at night (e.g. taxis, calling staff, etc.)

Come here expecting spartan accommodations and with a local cell phone.

Fantastic, stunning location
Friendly and attentive staff. hotel provides driver for easy access to Dali Old Town, mountains, etc. Amazingly quiet and serene.

We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is on the lake, the view is amazing and very relaxing. The decoration is very stylish and the room are nice. The only thing is the breakfast that a bit simple. A great option when visiting the Dali area.
