It was a nice stay at Holiday inn Dalian.
The hotel is located just in front of the shopping area and the business district, so it will be so convenient both for business and leisure. Also is surrounded with many dining places e.g. restaurants, fast food shops and local canteens.
The interior of the hotel is well sophisticated and clean, suitable for the world brand "Holiday inn".

The stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel was very accommodating, however English was not spoken at the front desk. The food in the hotel restaurant was presented nice-the buffet-, but found some seafood not to be fresh and the western menu items not really western. Enjoyed more to eat out of the hotel in the local market which offers many interesting choices of foods at very reasonable prices. There is also McDonalds in the food court area if you cannot find something interesting in the market.

This hotel is good, it located in CBD, and it is close to my customer office. At the same time, some shopping mall and food shop are closed to the hotel; it is good for us to relax after the whole busy day.
The hotel room is old but clean. My room has city view only, but it is not bad.
The most important thing is money; the price is cheap, but with good quality services.
I will pick this hotel again if I will go back to Qingdao.

international chain hotel with poor english staff

I am not satisfied with my stay on this hotel since it is an international name. i was expecting it to be more tourist friendly like good english speaking staff and staff to welcome or assist you in the entrance door. They dont even have an english map around the hotel to help guest to be familiar with the city.
Location is not .bad though you have to take a cab going to main shopping area. Breakfast is good as you have good choices of food.Rooms are big and clean except for the air you breathe. you can breathe the smoke odor even on a non smoking floor.
