I had a problem checking-in as there was no reservation by Agoda; an asistant manager who spoke only chinese wanted me to solve the problem with Agoda, but I insisted that it was not my problem as payment has been made and that the problem was between hotel and Agoda. The assistant manager insisted that I call of which I flatly refused. To their saving grace the manager intervened who spoke english and solved the matter. After which my stay at the Baiyun Best western was most enjoyable. The rooms were pleasant and spacious and clean, definitely value for money. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Dining was by far the best in hotels that I have stayed in terms of options and quality. This would be my choice of hotel for business in GZ.

Rooms are a little dated, but comfortable, spacious, clean.
- Shopping Tip : This is a shopping and restaurant tip in that the hotel is winthin walking distance to starbucks, and many shopping outlets whether it is exclusive or value for money.

I had a problem during check-in. I had reserved and already paid for two rooms, but they claimed that I had only reserved one room. I had to spend more than an hour to sort this out with the hotel and including overseas calls to Agoda customer service. I had explained to the receptionist that I was extremely pressed on time as I arrived late in Guangzhou and was late for a meeting and was asking for other options for the hotel to resolve the issue with Agoda without involving me. I had given them my credit card with a consent that if they couldn't resolve it with Agoda, they may charge my credit card, however, they refused to provide me with the room and made me choose to either just take that one room, or wait until the issue is resolved with Agoda before they can give me the second room.
Good room value. Wonderful restaurant at the hotel lobby. Close to a big shopping mall. Easy access by taxi.
Poor receptionist customer service.

the hotel is located in a very good and easy to reach neighborhood. The service is cordial and respective. The rooms are clean and properly maintained. The big problem is that they don't have underground park car. The parking lot is small to the size of the hotel

we bought breakfast voucher for one morning and stayed for four days. they did a mistake and tried to charge us for four days.
