I'd recommend this hotel if you're only visiting for a few days. It's in a good location but quite noisy if you have a front room. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel. I've stayed here four times now and I will be going back. Only down side is there is nothing to eat in this area unless you like KFC etc.

We booked a triple room and was given a room with no windows. It is advised to indicate that you want a room with window before making the booking (if this is your concern). There is no fridge in the room. I had to approach staff to open a locked room where there is a shared fridge for all guests.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, bus interchange and shopping area. Very easy to navigate.
There is one convenient store in the hotel and three 24-hrs fast food chains next to the hotel. Very convenient to get night snacks. However, the road leading to the fast food chains may get a bit rowdy with people touting for cheap hotel rooms as hotel is next to the Guangzhou Train Station. There were some people sleeping in the fast food chains at night. These are usually people who are going to take the early bus and don’t want to spend money on hotels. It is definitely safer to travel in groups.

Stay here only if you need to catch the train
Near train station, near White Horse market, nothing else

Only stay here if you have to catch an early morning train ride. If not stay somewhere else which further away if you need to go to White Horse. The area is messy and very crowded. The taxi fares in China are cheap so being further away doesnt really matter
