old hotel and oldroom
near to metro and wholesale centers

the hotel room is old and not well maintain. i have stayed in this hotel several time due to its proximity to the metro and shopping, wholesale centers. otherwise i will never stay in the hotel. counter staff is not welcoming.
Shopping Tip:
its very near to the shoe, children, gift, wholesale center and Beijing Lu shopping lane.

Hotel alright.
Next to subways. Easy asset.

I find no problem with this hotel staffs. The rooms walk way a little dark. Rooms ok. Hotel to airport is easy just outside but from airport to hotel, due to some construction work outside hotel the bus has to stop across the road. You have to take a risk by running across the heavry traiffic road or carry your bags and go down the underpass. Down the steps and up the steps again.

Great Location but not so good service and english

The location of this hotel is great.
It's in front of a metro station (Haizhu Sq.) and locates very near the Pearl river.
So you can take a walk to the river at night.
(Anyway, i don't think the river view is that beautiful...)
I reserved the room so late so i got the twin room even i traveled alone.
I paid a bit higher to get the river-view room.
Unfortunately, my room is at some-thing-like-a-pillar in front of my windows, so i could see the river only half.
The staff doesn't have enough English skill to communicate with foreigner guests.
They can speak only easy and simple English.
(Even though i'm not native english speaker and use very simple english too.)
What annoyed me was the staff clearly show their irritation toward me when i asked for many things.
Shopping Tip:
From this hotel, you can walk to the Yide Rd. that has many shops and wholesale shops.
The stuff around here are dried-food products, toys, gifts, and accessories.

Hotel with fantastic location
Metro is just pass the entrance of the hotel, walking distance to wholesale markets

Room was pleasant but beds were a little hard. It would have been great if they provided instant coffee instead of only chinese tea in the room. There's a mini fridge but not in use. I had a little problem with the flat batteries in the safe but they came to fix it promptly.
A short walk to the wholesale markets for stationery and toys, shoes, dried food such as scallops, nuts, sharks fin, herbs, festive decorations for xmas, chinese new year. Didn't have time to explore but I'm sure there's more.
Front desk staff speak some English but it didn't bother me as I'm fluent in Mandarin and their local dialect. Check in and check out was quick with no hassle.
7-eleven is by the side door of the hotel and MacDonald's is just across the street to the right.
There's also a good seafood chinese restaurant across the street serving seafood and other local chinese dishes and tim sum in the mornings from 7.30-9.30am. Reasonably priced.
Hair salon next to the hotel. They will massage your head for an hour (hair wash) for about 30RMB (great for headaches)
Spa also available for body and foot massage. (You will need that after all the shopping)
Shopping Tip:
Remember, major bargaining required in Guangzhou, even in the wholesale market. Sometimes, it is cheaper to purchase what you want from www.aliexpress.com and have it shipped to your door step (any country in the world) via DHL and they ship even 1 piece. I've been a victim before!

Old hotel n the bed is rather hard . The front desk staff can be more friendly , the bell boy is good , very helpful n friendly. Location is gd for shopping n eating .
