the best feature of the property is that it is located in the heart of the business district.
very old property. most the rooms r done in the old style and the bathrooms r very old although still usable but old
the stay at the hotel overall was comfortable. the best part about staying at the holiday inn is that at least u can expect some of the features of an international standard hotel in china. or else each hotel has their own way of doing things.for example u can have ur daily cup of tea with milk etc instead of just chinese tea being served in most chinese hotels
Travel tip : there r some bars etc and restaurants etc in the vicinity which r easy to access

the stay was ok and comfortable. basically becoz of the fact that the beds match some sort of international standard. beds normally used in other chinese hotels r either too soft or too hard. here at least the beds were just firm and complying with holiday inn standards.and for a busines man he is out all day and just needs a comfortable bed to sleep in the night

the location fr my work was good
the property is at least 11 to 12 years old
the stay at the hotel was ok. and the best part is that the staff all speak good english so there is no communication problem. however all the furniture and fittings in the hotel although still workable but is old and old style and i feel that this needs to be redone. it will increase the value quotient of the hotel

quiet, quick at the reservation counter.
taxi drivers don't know where the hotel is. you have to say Garden Hotel and just walk from there.
Came in at 3am on a super delayed flight. The last thing I wanted to deal with was a slow front desk. Luckily they were quick, got me in my room in less than 10 minutes. I asked for a wake-up call and was out at 7:00am. So I don't have much to write other than it was a bed to sleep in and they got me into the bed pretty quickly. I don't even remember if it was soft or hard!
Shopping Tip : starbucks down the street.

The hotel rooms are cozy. We had our money's worth.
The hotel is too strict about their checkout policies.
Holiday-inn being at the centre of Guangzhou makes it ideal for both tourists and business people.Their staff are very friendly,always willing to help.This makes you feel at home.One remarkable thing is that they put customers in the know of all facilities available through the posters in the elevators. This is very helpful.
Hotel Feature Tip : There are very experienced massagers and good meals.

I was only in Guangzhou for one night on business this time and had booked in the Holiday Inn as it was very near my business meeting. The hotel exceeded my expections in terms of comfort of room, food both at dinner and breakfast and general service of the staff. It was very conveniently situated and the lobby and communal areas were impressive and well-appointed. Overall I found it excellent value for money.

Clean and roomy, value for money
The lobby was not as inviting, one of the door was closed all the time. the flowers arrangement was terribly done.
The airport limosine stopped right at the side of the hotel , its very very convenient. Hotel staff speaks good English and I felt is most important to communicate with guest. Hotel location is central and accessible to many shopping areas. We were at the wholesale centres for watches, bags and ladies wear, they are terrific , its an eye opening experience.
Shopping Tip : Make your purchase at the wholesale centres, they are real cheap and good stuff, but you got to buy in bulk.

Well located, near restaurants and all activity
Deluxe room advertised by Agoda to include internet(Wireless). This is provided at a charge or RMB2 per minute with maximum charge of RMB80 per day.For this reason i will not stay at this hotel again
The hotel is very well situated to all activities.Lots of good restaurants in this area. The charge for the internet was not mentioned by agoda when booking.And it is expensive!The hotel is a little on the old side and the charge for the deluxe room is not great value for money.The staff are friendly and helpful.

Avoid the standard rooms as they don't meet the hotel standards! Hotel breakfast spread acceptable only, improvement definitely required.
certainly doesn't meet the TOP hotel standards, not like other Holiday Inn around the world. Hotel does not allow taxi to park and wait due to road space issue so staff needs to signal the taxi to come in and they are not too happy about it.

Nothing I can think about whilst writing this review
I stayed at the hotel whilst attending Chinaplas 09, the hotel laid on a bus for free transport to the exhibition centre every day.
Normally breakfast during busy events are hectic, but the hotel managed this aspect very efficiently.
the room was not overly flash but very comfortable and met my requirements very well.
there were good restaurant choices in the hotel as well as good information from the concierge about restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Rooms fairly basic could do with some refurb, but nothing worst, decent enough for 3*.
Everything within walking distance, shopping (friendship Mall, Trust Mart etc) Variety of Eating place. from Good Indian food to Western or Lunch Subway. Money exchange in Hotel, Good indian resturent 25 Meters from Hotel Lobby but bit expensive. Overall Good Hotel.
Shopping Tip : Must go to Beiging Lu (Road). 15 min cab ride, Bargain heavly. Best formula. Asking / 4 Add 25% = Good deal.

service at the front desk could be better, faster and with a better attitude, in our opinion the food at the restaurant was overpriced
We went during the Canton Fair, The hotel is well located (20 minutes to the Pazhou Complex), several restaurants, transportation, bars and clubs are on the same area, the hotel is very safe, one guard per floor, at the door and they help you select an appropriate taxi from the street. We loved the happy hours at the business lounge after a long day of work
Nightlife Tip : at the back door street you can find a lot of nice bars with expat crowd
