close to Beijing Lu and other shopping interesting places Not all rooms are renovated ! Receptionist(s) should be able to speak english. If you get a renovated room or suite the value for the money is very good due to the location. Even if you do not want to go shopping, just an intersting relaxing walk on Beijing Lu is around the corner.
The problem for the non chinese speaking traveller can be solved, if you ask for the assistant managers
They are very good in this language and very friendly and helpful for any kind of question you may have. They really act like a friend giving you the right tips and write the chinese together with english explanations for you trip by taxi, train or plane. THEY make a big difference and are worth 1 star for this hotel.
Shopping Tip : whether to the watch market or wholesale (label) leather or textile it is only 15 minutes away with a taxi.
But be aware, the licensed taxi drivers try to charge you without meter reading up to 5 times if you try to get back at rush hour time !!!
Even from the fair they tried to cheat - always make sure, they drive up to the bell boys where you can complain about their fare. If they refuse to do so, just give them what the regular fare is and walk off - they know why and drive away.

free internet, good service. this hotel located in good location near shooping street beijing road and near metro station: gongyuanqian. hotel's staff are welcome all guests. good service mind. girl at lift always greeting to all guests who use it. all staffs alway smile and greeting to all guest. they are active to answer all your questions. at hotel travel travel agency also good service. back of hotel also have local fresh market that you can buy food or fruit in cheaper price than in beijing road. welcome drink also free available for all guests at hotel bar. 2 bottles of water free everyday. will come back to stat again
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : near beijing road walking street. if take metro to changshou lu station also have another walking street name shang xia jiu walking street.

Hotel is clean and equip with free and fast internet access. Room is clean and has a nice view of Beijing Lu. Its a walking distance to Beijing Lu for a quick shopping at night. would have been better if we get a better quality shampoo and bath soap. This is our first time booking with Agoda.com and we are very pleased with the services. The information on the website is very detailed, booking process is very quick and the hotel room looks exactly like the photo. The printed voucher contained all the information you will need, such as agoda contact number and booking reference number. The information is valuable as it can save us all the trouble incase we have difficulty during the check in.
I have compared prices with other websites and our local travel agent and seems that agoda.com still give the best information and prices.
Base on our 1st experience, we would definitely use agoda.com services again for the future.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is very near to Beijing Lu which is very convenience to go for evening shopping.

I liked the swimming pool, breakfast at the restaurant, and service at the counter. the young guys at the counter need to speak more English, and be able myself to exchange travel checks at the counter in the hotel. I would like to say that the hotel Canton that it is a very nice hotel and located on the right spot for business or pleasure. People working for the hotel are very kind and helpful. I will recommend the hotel to my friends in America if they come to Guangzhou. Thanks very much for your hospitality.

at the reception desk it's very good for the foreigner because everyone help to do the best to explain where to go or where to get the bus station to go to zhaoqin ,the room was nice and clean.
' need to have instand coffee in the room also and also need one free bottle (small) of water.Need to give us free map of the city and must have more information what to do in town or what to see. this hotel is good , nice, clean . everybody is very nice to me and helpful .I will come back again for my next stay in Guangzhou because it's not far from small chinese shop and Bejing Road .I will tell all my friends to come to this hotel.

good location, nice staff, good health center It is our third time in hotel Canton. The location is really good in Beijin Lu which is the street for shopping and dinning. The hotel is very nice allways clean, big rooms and the staff are realy nice and allways try to help. In the first night we got a room with a very hard bed but in the next day they changed the room for a softer bed! also the massage in the health center is really good and not expensive. will go there again.
Restaurant Tip : "10.2" restaurant in the end of Beijin Lu is a grate western restaurant.

nice spacious room, friendly staff and nice lobby a bit of a distance to walk to shopping and food The room is really spacious, nice and clean. The lobby is outstanding too for a 3-star hotel and their staff are very polite and friendly. Its the best 3-star hotel by far that i have stayed. The hotel provides free shuttle bus service for those who goes to Guangzhou exhibition. The hotel is located not too far for the famous beijing road where everyone goes there to do their shopping. Food is everywhere surrounding the hotel. For those who like dim sum, the restaurant in the hotel for dim sum is not really recommended. The food doesnt feel as tasty or fresh as outside. For those who goes often for dim sum will understand what i mean.

i don,t know i been in this hotel 3 nights but 2 nights no hot water so take it from here it is 500 rooms old 4 star hoteh my view is negetive first no breakfast no hot water and they want to repair while you are there general speaking for me was not good at all
Shopping Tip : the best place to do shopping behind hotel is bejin street shopping place to get price right devide any prices offered to 2 and some time 3

well done renovations. good, friendly, halpful staff everywhere. good spa in building. strange location. had to find. the hotel is staffed by very efficient, helpful people. very professional. we requested a non-smoking room and were actually put on a non-smoking floor. what a surprise in china. and the room really did not smell of smoke at all. and the rooms were very nicely done, obviously recently renovated. the only thing is that the hotel is hard to find, especially since we spoke chinese and there are 3 other hotels in the area with almost the same name in chinese.
Restaurant Tip : lots of food places all around. so don't feel like you have to eat at the hotel. all kinds of food just a 5 minute walk out to the beijing pedestrian shopping street.

clean. good service. very close to beijing road pedestrian shopping. hotal can be tricky to find. agoda map completely wrong. this is a very nicely renovated hotel. rooms clean and comfortable. service very professional. excellent value for the money. nice pool on 5th floor. spa very good and not very expensive. beijing road pedestrian shopping strret just a short stroll from the hotel main door. subway station about 10 minutes' walk away. however, the hotel is tricky to find. not on a main road, even though the strret address would lead you to believe so.
Shopping Tip : beijing road pedestrian shooping street just a short walk from the front gate of the hotel.

rooms newly renovated and very clean and spacious. staff professional. convenient location. hotel a little hard to locate. agoda map totally wrong. found a really good deal on agoda for this hotel and took advantage of it. it is very clean and i was put on a non-smoking floor, which was a pleasant surprise. a lot of the time a request for a non-smoking room is ignored, especially in china. the staff were all professional. location is really good, but it is difficult to find as it is not on a main road.
Hotel Feature Tip : try the spa. the foot massage was excellent and you can use the internet there for free.

Close to shopping center, lots of restaurant nearby, English speaking staff A bit far from MRT (around 10 mins walk) My family were very happy with the hotel conditions, either room, bed and etc. Especially my son, he swam everyday (but don't forget to bring your own swimming cap). Gym next to the pool is also pretty good (lots of equipment).
Staffs were very friendly and helpful. My guess, 1 out of 3 are able to communicate with you in English. You can ask for some information i.e place to go, to shop, or to eat. You can also request for a city map from concierge and better ask them to write your destination in English.
The location is superb. As soon as you go out from hotel zone, the pedestrian (Beijing Road) street is in front of you.
More surprisingly, when we came back in the evening of Oct 3, maid was giving us a moon cake as a complimentary.
I'll stay here for sure if I'm back to Guangzhou

Internet access in the room without asking for any password.
Hotel room is convenient and superb.
Late Check in. Because misunderstanding about the period of stay between Agoda booking with hotel. I and my friends all satisfied with this hotel. We 'd love to go back again if we have a chance.

the hotel is exactly located at beijing road where you can shop anywhere because many stalls selling clothes, shoes and accessories. the hotel staff can speak english well they can give you direction with the places you want to go. this hotel is also near at the park where you can have sight seeing and can relax and unwind. i had a great stay in hotel.
Shopping Tip : just a walking distance from the hotel the beijing roads shops.

The Hotel is in the center of Guongzhou City which cross to Beijing Road and quite closed to Metro Guongzhou train so in term of location for holiday is perfect The bed quality is not represented the hotel quality which is quite hard Overall the Canton Hotel is value for money due to with the rate and the facility also hotel location offering the best proposition
The Hotel just need to improve their bed and carpet which I believe can improve their room selling price also consider the room itself is quite big but not decorating properly
But currently the hotel location and charges encounter this issue
Travel tip : Very closed to beijing road so will be very good for the family who like shopping and closed to Metro railstation which make you very easy to reach to any place or tourist location
