The service is satisfactory.
Location of the hotel is convenient for shopping and dining.

The rooms have been renovated and they become more spacious. My experience for last year was that I had to wait for quite a long time for check-in. But it has been improved this time as it took about 20 minutes to complete check-in and the staff received me was nice and polite. Besides, the room service staff attended to my requests quickly.
Shopping Tip:
It is about 15-minute walking distance from the hotel to the Peking Road which is very convenient for shopping. Also,there are many restaurants for selection in the vicinity. The subway train station is also nearby.

We always stay in this hotel when we are in Guangzhou as it is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping area. The hotel is facing the Pearl River where you can go for a night cruise or stroll along the Promenade for a view of the river in the night. Within walking distance to Beijing Road Shopping area. If you intend to travel to Hong Kong or Zhuihai from Guangzhou, there are bus companies operating just outside this hotel. There is also a travel agency, China Travel Co., which has an office within this hotel premises and have tours that you can book.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hotel is also near to vaious attractions like Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall Palace or Yuexiu Park. You can take their Metro Train to viist these attractions and the train station is within walking distance from this hotel.

The bus stop in the hotel front door from Hong Kong to There.
We ate chinese food in morning nearby hotel.
The food not too cheap, but good.

Good location and helpful staff

We checked in late at night and had to be at the Vietnamese consulate (in the same building) early the next morning. The staff were helpful in telling us where to get passport pictures taken and some basic information about the visa application process. During the day while we waited for the visa we walked along the riverside and surrounding streets. W took a cab to Sun Yet San's temple for 30 RMB. The hotel is located next to a metro stop and we were able to take the metro to the airport and fly out to Vietnam that evening.

Good location, bad service.
Location near Beijing road and subway station.

Hotel staff were rude and barely spoke English. I had to check out over the phone and come late to drop off keys. However instead of saving our stuff like asked they lost/stole everything we had in our room. Hotel staff is only interested in helping their boss make money and not in providing good service.
River view looks nothing like the pictures.
