Hotel newly renovated rooms is just in time. Our last visit there rooms were rather not spacious. The new room feel much more spacious . The staff response to customers was acceptable. We visited the restaurant here , the new expanded dim sum restaurant was good and worth visit again. Hope hotel can include and provide free gym facility for hotel guest.

Great Hotel with excellent service

It's a hotel which worth to be a return guest. The hotel is about 5 minutes (150M) away from the subway which take you to most part of Guangzhoz. Bank of China is just within the building. There are two Chinese Restaurants which served excellent Cantonese dishes. The hotel is also located next the the scenic ChooZiang river. The only set back is the hotel only provide free internet LAN service. They should upgrade it to WIFI which will more effectively serve the Iphone and Ipad users.
Restaurant Tip:
Excellent Tim Sum but it will be best to check the offer time period. Within the certain time period you could get Tim Sum at RMB1 only.

The hotel is a very busy hotel with lots of people on tours staying there. The rooms are old but clean and decent. However at night, you can hear the sound of people walking above your room if anyone was staying above you. Apart from that, it's a pleasant hotel.
Shopping Tip:
Walk out of the hotel and you'll find most of the shops selling wholesale everything you can possibly imagine.

Small Room And Bad Service

the hotel's king size is in fact a double bed which is smaller than a queen. toilet space is minimal. checking in experience was bad. i had to wait for them to switch around my rooms for 3 times and spent 2 hours for the rooms to be confirmed. mainly the main desk got confused if the room is smoking or non smoking. i speak mandarin but they are not even able to understand mandarin properly and only fluent in cantonese. and i thought it would be wise to ask the front desk on advice on how to get to the baiyun mountain but they directed me to take the train to a terminal station where there isn't any transportation available to get to the mountain. checking with the locals told me it is not even near the terminal station and to back track! front desk service sucks.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Research on internet how to get to each location and worth it to buy a local sim card for 60yuan (SGD12)lasted me for 5 days journey and allowed me to make calls (both local and international) and get online using smart phones to confirm map location and directions.
