Nice room decor, complimentary internet in room
Staffs hardly speak English, far from city area
This hotel is near CIEF Bazhou Complex, but other than that you have to take a cab to go elsewhere. Airport is far, takes about 45-50mins from the hotel. Staffs hardly speak English and I really did not understand why they had to look somewhat pissed when we started talking to them in English. Check in also took quite long and there was a USD200 limit that you can exchange per day at the front desk. Overall, the room is clean and nicely decorated. There is a computer in the room where you can listen to music and watch movies for free. You will get complimentary fruits upon arrival too, so don't forget to claim that!
Shopping Tip : Beijing Road and Shangxiajiu are good shopping areas. But please note that after 9pm, taxis in these areas do not use the tariff machine. They will make an offer and it is really up to you whether or not you want to accept the price. From Huashi Hotel to Beijing Road is about RMB30, but when I came back I paid RMB50, which was the lowest most taxi drivers offered. A tip for the ladies, be careful when you choose the taxi driver. Do not choose those with lecherous smiles plastered on their faces because you wouldn't know what they could do to you.

Poor air conditioning and poor service.
I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the University where my son was studying. On the night that we arrived, they could not give us the business room that we booked for because they were overbooked. The next day, we complained and were given a non smoking room that smelled like a smoking lounge. We decided to wait for the next available room. We finally got our business room only to discover a few hours later that the air conditioning in our room wasn't functioning. We called housekeeping and asked for them to check on the air conditioning. Nobody came. For the next 3 nights, we just had to bear the heat. The worst thing was losing a document. I put the document on the table thinking it would still be there when I get back. It was gone when I got back. I called up the concierge and the cleaning lady said there wasn't anything on the table. What's the point of arguing with them?

Reasonably priced, near Guangzhou railway and Southern Normal University, Wifi in the lobby.
Bed are not that comfortable.
Huashi hotel is value for money. We stayed for 2 nights and rooms are clean and complete with amenities. I liked its location because it is near the Guangzhou Railway, the Southern Normal University and the nearby mall such as Tee Mall. Rooms are also equipped with internet connection and lobby has wifi connection.

CLOSE TO PAZHOU, MODERN AND NEW, CLEAN.
NOT A CONVENIENT NEIGHBOURHOOD, CLEANING LADY NOT SO POLITE AND WILLING, HARDLY ANY ENGLISH AT THE RECEPTION
THE HOTEL IS 20 MINUTES FROM PAZHOU BUT, VERY FAR FROM THE AIRPORT. THERE ARE NO RESTAURANTS OR SHOPS OUTSIDE AND YOU HAVE TO GET A TAXI TO GO ANYWHERE. ALTHOUGH IT IS CLOSE, WHEN RETURNING FROM PAZHOU IT TOOK US 40 MINUTES DUE TO THE BAD ROAD SYSTEM AND TRAFFIC AT THOSE ROADS.
