The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful (with a very weak english).
Bathrooms are to be renovated.
The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful (with a very weak english).however, the supplement of $ 50.- per night for extra bed is outrageous! We protested because the room was not fit for an extra bed, so the manager allowed an extra single room at no charge!
Being aware of the prices during canton fair, we beleive that the rate must have included breakfast. Our friends who insisted, were given free breakfast during their stay.

no good selling points of this hotel
wet carpet smell, rooms stunk, service was disgusting did even offer english channels, very chinese run hotel no suitable for foreign country visitors, i flew home early due to the poor hotel i stayed in
hotel was not to standard many foreigners stay at this hotel, no english movie channels, all tv channels were basically chinese, so entertainment was poor due to this, carpets and rooms absolutely stunk and i even though i was upgraded to a suite i would never stay at this hotel again, service was also very poor

Modernisation of the rooms
This is a relatively good hotel.
Very good location and friendly staff.
There should be more western bars, but if needed at only 5 Min walk you can find everything. Not far from the garden hotel you can find all you need from bars to restaurants. Overall, it was a positive experience. I hope I can go back there next time I visit China.
