Bad thing about this hotel is air conditioner. Till midnight the hotel shut down the central air cond. Feel very hot. Already ask at the reception they say is like that.

we come to guangzhou, china to visit the exhibition in guangzhou, lido is a nice hotel, great location, near the expo, the staff is very helpfull, the room is clean but not too big, overall, it was nice stay in lido hotel in guangzhou

McDonald's just downstairs, dessert shop next door, KTV next door too, and rows of restaurants are just across the street within 3 minutes walk. Very happening place with lots of shopping alleys and streets nearby. 4 units of Elevators, saved a lot of waiting time. Restaurant at Level 6 are wonderful and worth trying, however, they do not accept Credit Cards from overseas. Lobby's sofa are always packed with guests, sitting and waiting for check out, check in or to other places. Bus tickets to Shenzhen and Hong Kong are easily available at the concierge. Very convenient!! To Airport arrangements can be booked too, 350Yuan per van. Staffs are okay, not as bad as expected by other reviewers, but definitely need to wait if they are not "looking at you", because they certainly are busy with other stuffs, i guess. Overall, great place to shop and shop!! Taxi are always easy to get there. Suitable for family trip, business and shopping.

Taxi are easily available in this area. Just get on the taxi and say where you want to go. Delaying by 10 seconds, like, asking 'can you go there?" you'll get scolded! I just don't understand why they behave like that. surrounding the hotels are lots of food and shopping. You'll never get bored!Rooms looked old, but clean. Didn't see any cockroach nor spiders. Hotel staffs are okay. One of the guy looked fierce and seems not so helpful when booking for bus ticket and ask for direction. But overall, the hotel amenities and service are okay. Rooms are tidied everytime you get back from outside, with new comb, toothbrush and shower cap. Sometimes I wonder if they recycle the toothbrush, because you get new one everyday. It's totally worth the money to stay there! super convenient!!
