Nice clean older hotel, great service good english staff good breakfast.
Location is in quiet part of town. no surrounding convenience stores or anything. Lots of rooms do not have windows.
Great motel to say the least. This is a 20 year old plus property that is in pretty good shape. It is defiantely got this older french feel of a palace that i in my head as one of sadaam huseins palaces. It is very gold everywhere, but fun for a change fro the typical style that you would see. It is pretty close to the pazhou complex which makes taxis affordable. It is a pretty good choice with big rooms.

out of the beaten path, lots of rooms with no windows.
I have stayed here before for the canton fair. it is a nice motel off of the beaten path. If you want a quiet motel and affordable rates this is a great choice. they have so much of a gold flare through this that you would think you are staying in a palace. IT makes you think you are in a rich classy place. the employees are very nice compared to other motels, and do speak enough english to help out. Lots of help with the concierge desk. It was great.

newly renovated room,
size of the room,
location of the hotel
we like the decoration and the design of this hotel, very classy. The room size that we are staying (standard room) is quite big compared to other hotels we stayed in before in the city. The room service was excellent and very polite. Most of the staff we met understand English. The hotel breakfast was okay, there is room for improvement on the choice of oriental breakfast. Overall we were satisfied with our stay in this hotel.

Lovely French /eastern style with a lot of gold everywhere! Good location for business district and the staff are polite and courteous.
Not really many except maybe the lounge menu..
I've stayed here several times as the hotel is good for meeting business clients and has a good overall image. Breakfast is good, although I didn't use the restaurant. Staff are helpful and the showers are very relaxing! If you want the city centre and shopping the location is not that good as you would need to take the MTR or a taxi. Not even close to the airport but the gold everywhere even makes you feel wealthy!

New, good staff, excellent rooms.
The hotel is quite nice, especially for the price. The rooms are huge with a big size LCD and the cleanliness is praiseworthy. Particularly enjoyed the breakfast. The reception was also good and language was not a problem as the staff spoke decent English. It was slightly far from the old complex but for the price it was a steal of a deal.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to Pazhou complex.

When I came to the hotel, I was shocked that my name was not listed in hotel booking list. The hotel staff said that I should call the agent booker. I had no IDD access and didn't know what to do. Luckily, they had an internet connection and I chatted with Agoda's live chat. After no more than 10 minutes, Agoda settled all of the problems. Good services!!
Travel tip : Try to learn a bit of Chinese when you visit China. Very few people in Guangzhou can speak English.
If you are 4 people, it is better to take a taxi as it is cheaper than the metro.
