some parts of room were a bit old/shabby We chose this hotel/apartment because it was close to the Australian embassy and also because it was able to comfortably accommodate an adult with four children! We weren't expecting too much (as is unfortunately the safest mindset to have for China hotels) but were pleasantly surprised by the complex and grounds; the staff were also very helpful for the most part. We had a few needs come up during our brief stay and the staff were more than willing to help out!
Shopping Tip : find the MRT asap - it will save you a fortune in taxi rides!!!!

the standard room was very worn more like a 2 star, the Deluxe room was like a 3- star. so definitely not a 4 star hotel. but that being said it was clean and the people were nice, about a 10 minute walk to the subway. The associated hotel had a restaurant called Big Fish and they had a great all you could eat buffet for about $25. It is a Japanese hibachi style restaurant and have very fresh sushi and a wonderful garlic steak.
