very good prices for this hotel on agoda.com. very clean. convenient location near subway. extremely friendly and efficient front desk staff. two excellent restaurants in the building.
unreliable internet connection in the lobby computers and expensive. view of park from room ruined by ugly buildings between the hotel and the park.
this is a gem of a hotel given the excellent price and the convenience. the hotel is not new, but nicely renovated. very clean room. air con strong (in fact had to shut it off). for anyone not familiar with guangzhou, this is a good hotel to stay in. subway station is about 2 minutes' walk right up the road of the hotel and the guangzhou subway system is easy to use. the 2 chinese restaurants right in the hotel both serve delicious food. the front desk staff is great. when the internet connection failed in the lobby computers, they apologized and did not charge me for the time that was used. i would stay here again next time i return to guangzhou.
Shopping Tip : two subway stops north or a quick taxi ride will take you to sanyuanli area which has several malls filled with stores that sell retail or wholesale leatherware. great place to browse or buy all day.

Very big room for the price, was in a nice neighorbood with a couple parks and many sights
A little in need of renovation- need to turn hot water on 1 hr before shower
Good value for money, especially given the size of the room we got. Very nice area in Guangzhou as well

Very close to Metro station, fruit basket on arrival, washing machine in room, good variety at breakfast, clean and tidy
ROCK HARD beds, hotel very much in need of upgrade and repairs
This hotel is located about 100 mtrs from the Metro line which is very simple to use, it is also close to Liuhuahu Park (5RMB entrance fee) but is a nice break from the craziness of the streets, the staff speak some english and the exchange rate at the hotel was very good. We only ate breakfast at the hotel which was standard buffet style but plenty of variety. The rooms are clean but really need to be upgraded, beds are way to hard, we could not sleep because we kept waking up with numb limbs. For this reason I would not return to this hotel.
Shopping Tip : Go to Shangxia Pedestrian street over Beijing street - seems to be more locals shopping there and less people harrassing you to buy something.
Green Island Western Restaurant in Liuhuahu Park is fantastic food and location on the lake.
