Clean comfortable rooms upgraded without asking Concierge has poor english and prioritises Chines guests ahead of Westerners.
Instructions for free bus to convention not displayed in a clear area and therfore we missed the return bus The hotel has a good foyer plenty of facilities and the rooms are a good size.The shower curtains smell but that is a small price to pay for reasonable room size.We were given an upgrade without asking.The location is a bit away from many good choice restaurants although next door is a reasonable and very cheap local chinese eatery.The bar price are a bit on the steep side.
The concierge isn't as helpful as one might require and couldn't help us to find a restaurant of our choice in the locality.Be very careful to study where the free convention centre bus picks you up as it is on the opposite side of the convention centre to where it drops you off and many people missed it and we at the mercy of dodgy taxi drivers who intimidate you into paying more by locking the cab doors at drop off.
Restaurant Tip : good value restuarant next door adjacent to Seven eleven store

Ccose to Australian Embassy, close to convenience stores, all the modern ammenities that you would expect for the price I am used to staying in 4-5 star Thailand hotels, so Chinese 4-5 star hotels are often a HUGE disappointment (especially for the price) - but the Rosedale was surprisingly good for the price. Just about lives up to an international 4-star, but not quite. We stay here when we need to do things at Australian embassy - its also close to fast food western chain restaurants if you have kids that dont eat chinese food!

Decent location, good service. Not enough foreign TV channels Stayed here for the second time, still quite satisfied with the hotel and the service. One con is that they dont have enough foreign TV channels, but hardly a con.
