Neat and spacious room. The front desk staff are professional and they can speak English.

The door has no security chain.

Not much to complain about this hotel. I was just unlucky to have Chinese group tourists as neighbours making the "famous" loud Chinese noises until 2am. The hotel staff member was sensible enough to accept my request for changing rooms. The second room was facing a window of a room in another building(house) where a guy was doing something and looking at me. So, I had to close curtains so that the guy and I wouldn't see each other. There is a No2 bus stop near the hotel for downtown area such Guilin station. I used my laptop in the room without difficulty. As I did not use the hotel's restaurant, I can't say anything about their food. I simply put mark 3 as neutral rating for Food/Dining.

Hotel Feature Tip : Be sure to keep the hotel's Chinese name on a piece of paper. Local people don't even know the name of Sheraton hotel in English.

The location in town is good. Close to the river, main markets and restaurants.

When you enter the room, you're not sure whether you enter a hotel room or a shop. All items inside are at display and for sale.

We came in late in the evening and received nicely by the staff. A simple exchange of voucher and room key. Of cause, as we were waiting for the procedure to finalize, a girl approached us at the reception trying hard to sell tours and other services. After the traditionally 16 times, 'nope' or 'enough' we could enter the lift. The room had a large bed, and was adequate for the pricing. Though we didn't dare to touch anything, as all items had a price tag attached. Felt like to overnight in a shop. Overall, not much to it. Staff pretty anonymous -unless they are pounding tours at you- Location an advantage. Rooms are retail.

Restaurant Tip : A good selection of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. Markets nearby, though can't recommend browsing through, unless you like to be pushed and grabbed.

Great location

Needs updating

We were very pleased to find this hotel located in such a great location. We could walk to many of the local sightseeing places, like Elephant Trunk Hill. Didn't have to make use of taxis or other means of transportation. The hotel rooms are in a bad way. Need a desperate overhaul, carpets stained, curtains and towels need replacing. Staff speak very little English. However, they do try their best. Pedestrian Street is just one block away. This street has many shops and restaurants to enjoy.
