I really enjoyed my stay at the Vienna. The room was excellent with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The only negative about the room us the carpet needs to be replaced as it looks old and dirty otherwise the room was excellent.

Not what I expected from a 4-Star hotel
It's along the main road through town. It's near the night market. It's on top of a 24hour KFC when everything is closed and you're desperate/hungry.

It was ok... The fridge didn't work, and I couldn't get the idea across to the staff with limited English to come and fix it. Communication was more difficult than I would have thought - though this hotel is mainly for Chinese tourists.

The hotel is located at the middle of ZhongShan Road which is the main street of Guilin City.
It is 3 minutes walk to the night market and excellent location for both shopping and dinning.
The rooms are spacious and clean.
Friendly staff and excellent service.
Nightlife Tip:
The night market is 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Highly recommended.

Buffet breakfast was very 'average'...nothing special.
Room was nice, very clean and up to date. Front desk staff were helpful. Hotell is within easy walking distance of lakes and parks. Good local restaurants within 2-3 blocks if you know where to look for them.
Hotel Feature Tip:
WIFI was only available in the lobby.

The hotel was great, best location in Guilin, but not four stars. The staff was very kind but no one spoke english. However we utilized google translate and we were able to communicate. The room was big and clean. I would definitely stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
walking distance from the hotel is a night market with great outside restaurants. Also, don't book an English tour, it ends up being exactly the same tour as the chinese tour but double the price.

Executive room is great value; nice and quiet, smoke smell free room.

We had a great stay, its comfortable, clean, the staff are helpful - particularly house keeping staff. Reception are professional and prompt. When it rained, an umbrella appeared along with a big smile...that was nice! Would stay there again.
Restaurant Tip:
Its within good walking distance to lots of restaurants, beware the mini motorbike taxi touting for business out front, otherwise you'll likely end up in the street where live fish can sell for 180 yuan each. Better to search out the quiet back street cafes - great food, great vlaue, and great conversation to be had with the owners and locals.
