Close to shops. Easy to find foods.
The back entrance is more easier to find than the main entrance because the back entrance is facing the main road. But overall this hotel is good. I will stay again in this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking distance to elephant hill and Sun and Moon twin pagodas.

location, decent breakfast option
Rather centrally located, with the main drag along the Li River just a short walk away. Nice river views from the hotel, too, provided the haze and smog is not too terribly thick. There are Chinese and Western restaurants that provide breakfast for a fee. Sadly, the place is run a bit like an old fashioned, Soviet hotel. Staff requires a big desposit for the room key and you can't get it back until they have a maid check the room for damages. Seems taking a credit card deposit would be a lot easier.

Good location, hotel is close to a river and market. Good pricing.
Hotel room was a little "old". The "river" view was only partial as I had a large neon sign right in front of the window.
I would go back to this hotel again but not for a long period of time. This is the type of place you would just use to sleep and not so much where you would want to hang out.
The hotel location is good as it is pretty central. It is also close to the river.
Overall I would stay in this hotel again just because of the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a trip down the Li river, make the reservation through the hotel. If you can, reserve the "Chinese" tour instead of the "foreigner" one. This will give you a chance to visit 5 places once you get down to Yuangsho. I would recommend this very strongly.

river view is fabulous. Main station is walking distance. The environment is peaceful and tranquil.
I was checked into a room rm-1905 which face the partial construction/renovation back lane. I was not satisfied, and therefore approach the hotel manager about my unhappiness. He immediately changed my room to rm 1906 which face the river and the distant mountain. I enjoyed the stay even just by staying in the room with cups of hot tea. The hotel lounge is elegant, perhaps more flowers pots can lightened the atmosphere even more. The restaurant foods are a bit oily but taste good. The tourist information counter is convenient and helpful. I would recommend my friends to stay in this hotel if they are coming to quilin.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The main station is convenient for short day trip to outskirt villages.

manager spoke enough English and has guided us to the hospital when our son of 3 had a fishbone in his throat
there was no non-smoking rooms available as something "geur'problemen gave the room (and throughout the hotel). Pool was not available and the areas around there at the moment disrepair
The budget hotel reformatting slightly above its current status and comfort of the staff but not a bad word. Efficient help when you need to emergencies in China is 'priceless'!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : easy public transportation (very cheap) to Reed Flute caves

Home, very good location in the city, the team travel agency efficient and friendly. COMFORTABLE ROOMS
carpet wet and in poor condition
Osmanthus Hotel remains an international standard, but the welcome is still warm and the staff of the travel agency at the reception is very efficient, gets easily available and looking for solutions to all types of problems especially when we do not speak Chinese ... The rooms are spacious, the only false note and stained carpet wet leaves much to be desired. Despite this small inconvenience to recommend a hotel for its location in the heart of Guilin.
