Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

GREAT location, right at the center and on the main road! Walking distance to Elephant Trunk, etc.

slight tobacco smell in the room when AC was not turned on.

GREAT location, right at the center and on the main road! Walking distance to Elephant Trunk, etc. Taxi from the airport will cost you around 100-150Y. It's not really a "tourist" hotel, but used more by business people. At least that's what one local guy told us, and this was actually nice as the reception was not trying to sell you all kind of tours and stuff like that. Room and bathroom were very good size, nice and clean.

Quiet.

Restaurant rather ordinary - advertised dinner buffet was not available.

Location is not great: I couldn't find any interesting places to eat nearby (I don't count the KFC next door) and the hotel restaurant seemed limited. However, close to the main square and to shopping. Also ten minutes walk to the lakes. Breakfast was very local - carts coming around constantly, each containing a choice of dishes costing $1-2. A western breakfast was also available but I don't know what it was like. There was no standard breakfast buffet. I was in the new wing - a deluxe room - which was spacious and quiet. Service was quite good. The internet connection in the room wasn't working and an English-speaking manager came quite quickly and then organized a techie who soon provided a workable solution. Overall, reasonable value older style Chinese hotel.
