Functional Hotel with a convenient location

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The twin bed rooms are huge enough for a family with two young children. The bedroom has a desktop wired for free internet. The location is great for shopping and food. The restuarant served good tim sum and the staff are generally helpful.

This hotel is a little old but the room size is good, very comfortable with clean bath room. The breakfast was not much choice - not value for money. The service staff is friendly and understand english. For the room rate at about RMB250 is definitely value for money. Highly recommended for budget travellers.

Helpful staff, poor on line booking system

Big shock for us when we checked in at 8pm and the reception said that they have no record of our confirmed booking. It was a Sunday and the admin staff had left for the day. After some pleading, they managed to recall one staff to check out their system. Finally resolved, and they offered us king size bedrooms which turned out to be very spacious with attached sitting area and complimentary fruit basket to each room. The on duty staff was helpful under the circumstances. Worth another visit the next time.
Travel tip:
Reconfirm your booking before check in would relief travelers of some stressful moments.

CONVENIENT but COLD
Convenient - easy access to shops

No WiFi access.
Staff is not helpful and cold.
I have requested a non-smoking room, and when I checked into the room, the room is full of cigeratte smell. The staff did not suggest any help, just have to open the window.
When we open the window, we found that the window cannot be locked.
Again no help offered by the staff. Just use a bamboo stick to stop anyone from opening from outside.
The bell boy did offer to call for a cab, even if I signal to him that I need one.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is a tourist information counter opposite the hotel (at the entrance to the park). Xiao Pang (the lady there) is very friendly and helpful.
The show - Impressioin Hainan - which she recommended is amazing.

Missing Items in Deluxe Room

This is my 3rd Time Stay there and what greeted me was missing drinks in my Deluxe room as well as a missing chair. The service staff was prompt to provide the missing items after I reported to the Front Desk but they should not be missing in the 1st place, even though the chair was under repair, a replacement should be put in the room before the quest is allowed in.
The worst of my 3 stays there.

ROoms are clean and do cleanup nicely everyday.
Staffs are willing to help in all aspect.
as the booking was overwhelm when I checkin, without question the hotel update to the next range to cater to the checking rather than ask you to wait for free room.

the location of the hotel is convenient. lots of shopping malls and entertainment centre,such as ktv, at the area. the free inernet acess is great. you can view free movies, listening to favourite songs and chat with loved ones at home. staff are frienldy too. overall, it is value for money.
