Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Rooms that make you relax
The rooms, helpful staff, boutique feel

Very enjoyable stay. The decor was soothing, and the three tiny jars of tea made for in room tea tasting. The staff were very helpful, lending us bicycles and umbrellas. The club bar hosts samba dancing so bring your dancing shoes. Breakfast however, was disappointing.

Pleasant modern design
modern design, good location, helpful staff

The stay was pleasant altogether, because of poor weather I stayed in the hotel room quite a while, and that was fine. The room was pleasantly spacious, a range of international movie channels available, good shower facilities, bathtub... Downside is the breakfast: there is no buffet to speak of, but you have to choose between three overpriced breakfast options (Chinese, American, Vegetarian). The food was not bad, but it makes much more sense to just walk to the next Xiaolongbao or Huntun restaurant for better value.

Modern and Nice Design
The room is big and comfortable.
8.3
The reception staff is very helpful. The room is big enough and comfortable. The provision of tea and water is much appreciated.
The food in the Chinese Restaurant is great and valuable.
However, a bit improvement should be made on breakfast, including the variety of food and provision of enough seats.

Little Gem - good base to explore from
Rooms are nice and clean. Bar is great in summer

I found the Tea Boutique hotel on Agoda. What a find. Extremely cool design, abundant with natural wood and muted colours. Clean and evidently well maintained the hotel rooms are spacious and very comfortable. All the little touches add to the experience with the chinese version of L'Occitaine and cool bathrooms. When we got to our room the sheet was dirty - it happens so don't get hung up on it. We called front desk and even through this was 10:30pm it was changed within 5 mins. There are many 5* hotels out there that fail at this service. The hotel also has a great little outdoor bar area (Mint) serving up a good range of Martini's. Thoroughly recommend.
Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but the view is an old factory......

OK hotel - not as great as we thought
nice design - but getting a bit old
7.7
Staff is generally friendly and nice. The hotel is nicely designed but it's been standing for a few years and you can see that the furniture and carpets are getting old. Toliets are generally clean but you find foxing between the tiles which I'm not very comfortable with. Overall a nice stay, and very convenient as well as all cab drivers know the hotel well. Nice restaurants, spanish food just across the road so the location is good as well.

Well located + value for money

Well located small botique hotel, fulfills basic standards, internet works well, strange smell from the carpet, poor+expensive massage offer, don't forget to arrange pick up service from the railway station(150 RMB) since getting a taxi can be a nightmare in Hangzhou
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you go out the hotel, cross the street and talk a walk through the bamboo parc. Then take a coffee at Starbucks next to the lake, go and find one of the small boats and let the shifu take you to the other side of the lake to the Hyatt Hotel(will cost you ) and watch the Water play

Excellent value for the money in Hangzhou
8.3
I was looking for a hotel for a single night stay near West Lake that was nice, yet wouldn't break our budget. The Hangzhou Tea Boutique Hotel met my needs quite well. The decor is quite unique for the hotels I've stayed at in China--almost a cross between Scandinavian and Japanese. Room was well-sized (bath was a touch run down, but clean) and pleasant. 24 hour espresso machine in hallway was a nice touch.
The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to West Lake, but quite doable. Walking up and over the hill is an interesting way to approach the Lake and gives you a different perspective on the lake, mountains, and city than you would get by approaching on the street.
Hotel Feature Tip:
1. Breakfast in the adjoining hotel was quite nice, as were the carry out dumplings we took with us.
2. Allow at least 45 minutes to go from the hotel to the central rail station.
3. Definitely visit and walk along the north shore of West Lake at night.

Out of the central area, transport can be a hassle, especially with POOR Hangzhou taxi drivers. But, the hotel is superb. Great resturant (fish is superb). Friendly staff and very tasteful rooms. Very good deal.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Taxi drivers in Hangzhou are dreadful. They overcharge at night (but let Chinese customers use the meter). They have a shiftchange in the late afternoon, so very difficult to get a taxi at about 3:30 TO 4. Hangzhou is building a metro so use that when it is done and cut the Taxis out.
