No control over smoking in restaurants as well as other areas in the hotel! All round easy access to popular tourist spots e.g. West Lake, shopping malls, night market, restaurants (both western and local). Due to the centralized location, taxi is convenient and at low cost for short trips around the city centre. Hotel staff are friendly but lack English speaking fluency. Speak slowly and clearly will be helpful when communicating with the staff.
Shopping Tip : Walking distant to most shopping malls.

Convenient, reasonably priced, clean, great view of Westlake from the breakfast restaurant patio. Staff at the hotel restaurant do not speak English well. A variety of staff will visit a guestroom sereval times duirng a day: one to clean, another to replenish mini bar, another leave breakfast voucher for the next morning This hotel is well located. It is a short walk to the main shopping streets and to Westlake. It is a bit of a distance from the Silk market. The breakfast restaurant offers a good selection of foods. Much more of an Asian base, but some typically Western foods are available. The main restaurant offers only Asian cuisine. The food found at both restaurants was quite tasty. This hotel is comfortable, quiet and an overall good value.
Shopping Tip : The Night Market is just around the corner. Make sure to start bargaining at a price that is at least 50% of what the vendor is asking for.

Room furnishing is rather worn out and the aircon is not cold.Two lifts to serve 19th floor is insufficient.
Overall this hotel's selling point is the location. It is only about less than ten minutes walk to the west lake and surround the hotel has many restaurant and food is no problem. Unfortunately, the equipment and furnish in the room is rather old and air con is generally not cold especially in summer because I have been changing for two room and the result is the same.
Nightlife Tip : There are one nice pub near west lake called 'Night and Day' very crowded and good atmosphere.
