With its lakefront address and central Hangzhou location, the Lakeview Hotel Hangzhou (also known as Wanghu Hotel) is convenient to many local attractions.

The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants on Hubin Road, 10 minutes from the railway station and 30 minutes from Hangzhou Airport. Comprised of two buildings that form an L-shape and with an atrium-like entrance, the Lakeview Hotel's lobby is a marble marvel with Asian art and ruby-red rugs. At the Lobby Bar, the hotel's personality begins to assert itself. Guests will find a bar designed with an American cowboy motif, replete with cowboy hats, whips, a bull's head and huge oak beer barrels hanging from the walls. Adjacent to the bar, a billiards room beckons guests. Other hotel amenities include a fitness center, a sauna and an indoor pool. -close to west lake -easily accessible

- a bit far from restaurants and others tourist scenery, except westlake

The hotel was just a road next to westlake. If westlake was the main checkpoint of the trip, the site of this hotel is perfect with its price, compared with others westlake area hotel. The hotel was tidy with helpful staff. The room was quite spacious. The lobby is grand.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : must go to watch the show 'impression westlake', highly recommended

Very close to West Lake. Good location for shopping and walking around downtown.

Rooms were not as clean or as nice.

If you want to stay within walking distance of West lake and you do not want to spend a lot of money then this is a good place for you. The location is great the service needs work. The staff has some problems with spoken English, it does take time to make sure your wants are understood. I would stay here again but only because of the location.

Close to the main sights.

Bed is very hard and walls are thin.

This hotel is fine. The room is clean and tidy. It has the usual poor hairdrier and not so great shampoos. The walls are thin so noise can be heard from outside and the beds were very hard. I doubt many rooms have a lake view as there is a large road between the hotel and the lake but the main sights are close by.
