Guests can walk to the Lake in less than ten minutes, a walk that gives visitors a chance to observe the tempo of local life with its shops and food vendors. For travelers wanting to take home some silks and spices as Marco Polo once did, the night market and Hangzhou Silk City are just moments away on foot. Sometimes referred to as the Marco Polo Hotel, this property lies four blocks from the West Lake and indeed features views of the iconic landmark, the best ones from the top floor restaurant where breakfast is served. The hotel has several dining and meeting halls, so as to appeal to every guest.

A discent hotel with international hospitality. Breakfast is good. Executive lounge with lakeview. Executive rooms are nice and clean. Easy to get a taxi.

Space at the hotel front is very limited for any vehicles. Car park is a challenge. If double occupancy, breakfast should be for two persons.

I like staying at this hotel, because it is conveniently located in downtown Hangzhou. It is easy to find good eats outside. Always book rooms on an Executive floor. You pay more on room rates but you will get a lot of free stuff like free use of the lounge with free coffee and tea, cookies, lakeview, free half hour internet, free RMB 40 laundry and one free breakfast, late check out. It is a short walk from the hotel to the West Lake.

Travel tip : With a short taxi ride you can go to the Silk Market for good bargains like silk scarfs, shawls, pouches, cusions covers, clothes etc. They make great but inexpensive gifts.
