Cutting an impressive shape against the skyline, the World Trade Center Grand Hotel provides good value and excellent business facilities close to the West Lake.

The West Lake, at three kilometers away, is a substantial walk or a short drive away. Westerners staying at this hotel will be delighted by the little Occidental treats readily available here. A bakery, soft pillows, satellite channels and purified drinking water in the bathrooms are just a few examples of that accentuate the hotel’s focus on pleasing foreign guests. Guests keen to work off dinner, or just sit and observe, will find a park directly across the street.

This hotel is okay for a holiday but not business. The staff cannot speak English very well and it is hard to communicate your needs. The hotel is a little tired and not as clean or luxurious as some Asian hotels. The gym and spa are in another building. The do serve an international lunch for those who are tired of Asian food.

Travel tip : Location convenient but service and decor could be better for a 5 star hotel. Does have a nice view of the hills.
