Children at the Sofitel

The Sofitel does not charge children under 12 years of age if they are staying in a room occupied by parents and using the existing bedding. This is limited to one child per family, however, and additional fees will be charged should parents require a rollaway bed or cot.

For children 3 years and below, breakfast is complimentary. For children between the ages of 3 and 12 breakfast is charged but at a special children’s rate, while those above 12 years of age are charged the same rate as an adult.

The Sofitel Westlake provides Restaurant, Snack Bar, Café and Musical Entertainment bar with good food and drinks. Some guest who are looking for nightlife activity, there is Night Club available at the hotel.

great rooms, lack of service

comfortable well decorated clean rooms, location right next to Westlake parks

could not get a taxi from the hotel during peak times, was not given the luxury room that I booked and paid for, no friendly checkout service

We were not given the larger luxury room that we had booked and paid for, we were given a smaller room at the back of the hotel with a view looking straight into an apartment block. We could see straight into peoples apartments and vice versa so we had to keep the blinds shut all the time. Check in was friendly and helpful but checkout was not. During certain times of the day the concierge could not get us a taxi so we had to walk or try to get one ourselves off the busy street. Room is expensive so is breakfast and minibar prices.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : location is right next to the beautiful parks on the Westlake.

Hangzhou and the Westlake are beautiful, immaculate and safe. A boardwalk surrounds the lake, you can walk it, take a tram, hopping on and off, or take a boat. There is even a water show set to music.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : April is both Dragonwell, and the Tea harvest. It is also peach blossom time.
