A 4 star hotel with all the amenities that I need for a budget traveler like myself
Renovation was going on when I was staying there so you can actually hear the pounding on the wall during the day. However, it was very quiet at night time.
Of all the hotels that I stayed this month during my entire travel in Asia, this one is way up there on the rating scale! Easily accessible by airport bus and close proximity to the West Lake makes it very easy to go around. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to my request. Cost of the airport bus to the hotel was only 20 yuan compared to 500 yuan if you take the taxi. The first bust stop was just a few steps away from where the hotel was.

Good location within minutes to many eateries, shopping area and the West Lake.
The lobby was nicely decorated but a bit small. Check-in was straight forwardand staff was very friendly & polite. I booked an executive room which was big and clean. However, the bathroom was a quite small, to the extent that if you are standing using the sink, you would find it difficult to close the bathroom door, even for a slim person. Concierge was helpful with direction, maps, etc.
Hotel Feature Tip : Pick up a free local map at the lobby. They charge for the map in the bedroom (part of mini-bar).
