Hotel is located in the best area of Harbin, only 5 minutes walking distance from the central scenic spots. Spacious clean rooms, excellent housekeeping service. Taxi cabs are parked at the back of the hotel for the guests. Hotel people are not as friendly as they were, a bit unorganized. there is a small shop inside the hotel that sells basic things, but the prices keep changing when they see you come back to buy again. I would rate, the Friendship Palace Hotel as 7, 10 as the highest score in terms of location, price, cleanliness and atmosphere.
thou the staff are not very helpful and organize, my holiday stay in there hotel went well, also because I can speak a bit of chinese, but for non chinese speaking, i will not recommend this hotel, the staffs are not willing to assist the guests for their needs and requests.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : coming out of the hotel and turning left will lead you to the scenic spots.

The breakfasts were not tasty too (given that I like Chinese cousine incl. North Chinese one).
