Golden Dragon Hotel Kunming Info
Central to the commercial centre of Kunming, the Golden Dragon offers a bit of luxury five kilometers from the airport. The surrounding area offers fast food and various shopping options, while Kunming railway station is around ten minutes away on foot. The winner of various hospitality awards, the Golden Dragon has in the past hosted many a foreign diplomat, and it’s not difficult to imagine high-powered dealings going on in its gilded common areas. Rooms are of ample size and staff employ good English skills, with continental breakfasts and English channels available for the foreign traveler.

Location of the hotel is not good as others who located close to the center of the city. But only RMB10 or so to the city center by taxi and felt very safe to take a taxi.
Restaurant Tip : Could not find restaurant along main road but there are many at back side of the hotel.

Kunming worth a visit.
Travel tip : Taxi drivers dont speak much English - recommend having name of hotel written in Chinese to show them.
