the overall performance of the hotel was very good. the rooms are clean and the staff took good care of us. we had to check in quite early - but this wasn't a problem for the hotel at all without charging an additional half-day. the hotel has direct access to a shopping centre with good restaurants, shops and cinema. when i'm staying next time in kunming, i will definitely sty in this hotel again.

I attend an academic conference at Kunming Golden Eagle Summit Hotel. The service was excellent with very good location where you may easily take a MRT for traveling. Also the famous Zhing-An Temple, lasting for more than 1000 years, is right next to the corner of the hotel. I enjoyed the travel very much and would definitely stay at Kunming Golden Eagle Summit Hotel for my next visit of Shanghai.
Travel tip:
Do visit 外灘 before 10PM.

perfect location, within walking distance to great restaurants, shops and nightlife. we had large group at the hotel on business and the staff was accommodating to our arrival time and our needs. would recommend this hotel to business or leisure travelers. room was also very spacious, air conditioning worked, and non-smoking rooms were available.

Decent hotel, staff was friendly and helpful. Best part of this hotel is its central location, just a stones throw away from the shopping and food area. It's connected to a shopping centre too. Don't expect much from their lobby lounge though, seems v basic. There's a street just a block away serving good local fare.

Rooms are great. Big and spacious with nice clear glass window with motor rollers between room and bathroom. TV has many channels to cater to foreign guest. Room cleaners do a good job everyday tidying up place.
Breakfast is big spread but nothing much to shout about. Decent meals that can cater to most. Local noodle corner though is a must try.
Smoking can be seen everywhere. Lobby, Lifts, Corridors, Dining areas etc
Service needs improvement. Card key failed to work after first day and it took the staff two separate tries to get it right. Meantime, guest ends up having to run between room and front desk twice before room door can open.
Shopping Tip:
Location is good with many shops and eateries as well as a KTV in the same complex.
