Central location.

Maintenance a bit lacking.

This is a four-star hotel in a central location, and apparently popular with local businessmen. The beds were extremely hard (the hardest we experienced during our entire trip) and were comparable to sleeping directly on plywood. The lampshades in both our rooms were spotted and stained, and one was completely broken. Upkeep of the rooms seemed lacking. We didn't consider the beds comfortable at all, and would seek out a different hotel if we ever re-visit Kunming.

Spacious rooms, helpful staff, nice breakfast.

locations was not great, room seemed a little worn, there was not western restaurant, and the Chinese restaurant closed around 9:00.

The Telecom is a nice hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and always available. The tour center was very helpful for organizing tours. The worker did not speak English, but did find a hotel employee who did. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms were clean, but they seemed a little worn. The Telecom Hotel is good value for its price.
